"Your little brother is a piece of work, he is." A man grumbled in a dulcet tone, his thick arms crossed over his chest. The taller, more muscular man's lips curled ever so slightly into a daring smirk. His eyes scanned the outside through his window, seeing his people pack their surplus amount of artillery.

Adam continued to stare. "He is, isn't he?" A dark chuckled erupted from his throat. "Ever since our bitch of a mother died, something about him as definitely changed."

The man leaning against the wall spoke once more. "Not even I knew you were watching him. Sneaky."
Adam turned to him, placing his hands upon his hips. "I also know he's become part of another group. Supposedly, there are about nine of them in total."

"Nothing we can't take care of, right?" Another man finally spoke. His white teeth shone against his dark skin, a determined grin plastered on his face.
Adam nodded. "Right you are..."

"...Marcel."

Chapter Nine
Framed

"What do you mean, a traitor?!" A man I only just met tensed up at Brian's words.
The man behind the desk nodded with a far away look. "Yes,  Anthony. Our tight group has been compromised."

I still couldn't believe it. All these people, all of us, became really close knit with each other over the past month. None of us could have...
Wildcat huffed from next to the door. "Great. How the fuck do we figure out who it is?" He clapped his hands together in annoyance.

"We do the only thing we can do. Get someplace else, keep everyone within eye shot. We'll have to just plan from there." Brian answered, sighing himself.
Everyone's eyes darted to and from each other in suspicion, but Tyler was the one who narrowed his eyes to me. He's the only one who knows about my brother.

"Pack your belongings and some weapons. We leave by nightfall."
With that, Terroriser dismissed us.

The tension between us was thick, enough to drive a knife through. All of us were suspects, though I can't quite bring myself to ask if I had a lead. Not anyone from my original group, of course. I already know they're okay. And then, our extended family- they are really trustworthy.

Something pulled me from my thoughts when I was yanked aside into a dark corner, face to face with the tall, blonde bastard.
"You can't possibly think..." I began, my eyes widening. Wildcat's arms were crossed over his chest.

"I don't know what to think anymore, Vanoss. The only thing I'm certain about is that your brother is the one trying to kill us. How am I supposed to know anything else you say is the truth, huh? Sorry to say, but you're high on my list." Wildcat whisper-yelled, not even risking an echo bouncing off the walls.

I clenched my jaw, turning my head so I don't have to face him. "What about when I saved your ass from them? Killed them? Last time I checked, people don't kill their friends." My eyes darted back up to his face.
Wildcat kept his serious stare, deep in thought.

"We're done here."

Not another word was exchanged between me or anyone else after what Wildcat admitted. The anger in my chest burned hot, and I don't think I could say anything without blowing up.
We were all standing outside next to the car, except for Terroriser, who was still in the building. Said he needed to cover up our tracks.

"Alright, fuckers, who did it." Said man finally exited the building, with not only a bag, but a paper in his hand as well. Speak of the devil.
He looked angry, deceived. His look was almost... too polished.

"What is it?" David asked, snatching the note from the other irishman. As his eyes scanned the words, Terroriser continued to rant. "One of you seemed to write a note to the Purifiers, saying where we were heading. Didn't think I would find it, huh Vanoss?"

My attention was caught after he hissed my name. "Excuse me? I didn't write a damn letter." I furrowed my eyebrows. Everyone's eyes seemed to burn into me.
Brian let out a deep breath. "Explain why that was on your bed, then." He continued to accuse me. I was beyond confused.

My bag dropped to the ground, and I narrowed my eyes. "I told you once, now I'll say it again. I did not write a damn thing.
Still, their eyes were enough of a message, sent clearly. Even David and Lui seemed skeptical, which I got to say, hurts.

"C-come on. Nogla, Lui, you were with me before, and I was barely let out of your sight. Wildcat, I've basically been with you this whole time, scavenging for some damn weapons. Obviously, I've been framed." I tried to reason, turning my back to Brian. David's hands shook with the paper in his hand, like he didn't want to believe it.

"How about this, guys? Vanoss' real name is Evan Fong. You want to know the name of the Purifier's leader? Adam Fong." Terroriser continued to rub salt in the wound. My eyes widened at his sudden knowledge.

My eyes darted to each person. David, Lui, Jon, Anthony, Tyler, and Brock. Sweat rolled down the back of my neck, my breathing becoming irregular and fast. Their stares were intent, filled with hurt and anger. A hand clamped down on my shoulder, making my eyes droop downwards in defeat.
"This is your own fault, Evan. But don't worry, we're going to give you a chance to leave, and never come back." Brian's voice was relaxed as he walked forward, joining the rest of the group.

My eyes were becoming hot, tears threatening to fall. The lump in my throat began to grow with every passing second as I collected my small amount of personal belongings.
Before I turned and walked in the other direction, my eyes meant with theirs once more. My voice quivered threateningly.

"While you all fucking knit scarves with your thumbs up your ass together, I'll be out there. Killing all those bastards alone."

There was only silence as I turned on my heel, walking in the opposite direction of where David, Lui, Jon and I came in only a month before.

"But, one of their little groupies and I planned something. Frame Evan, get him travelling on his own. I was thinking of mind breaking him to the point where he won't care about them anymore. Willing to do anything for me." Adam continued. Marcel seemed confused.

"Who's their traitor?" The man with the crossed arms asked, scratching his bearded face.
Adam turned his attention towards him. "Oh, Luke, you'll find out soon enough," he sighed. "The two of you. Send the message to everyone else; our first priority is finding Evan."
