*Nico's P.O.V*
I stood and watched as Phoenix conversed with Apollo and Artemis. "Where did I go wrong?" Hades sighed.
"I don't know, it might be the first thing you said to her."
"Which was..."
"You're not supposed to exist."
"I miss Shirley." Hades looked at his shoes.
"Well guess what. She's dead. And she had twins."
"Really?" Hades looked up.
"Yes." I sighed.
Just then Phoenix walked back. "Nico, I'll be at the Empire State Building." She said as she passed."Well... I'm going to go make sure Phoenix doesn't get killed." I said as I turned to leave.
Hades just nodded-he said nothing. I walked back trough the small town, following the path of dead grass and wilted flowers.
I caught up to Phoenix while she was waiting for the elevator. "So... Now you know dad." I said.
"Now I wish I didn't." She looked up at me.
We stood in silence. Then, out of nowhere a little girl ran over to Phoenix. She slammed her hand into Phoenix's stomach, turned her shirt bright yellow and ran away. Phoenix sighed as I watched the little girl hide behind a tree and giggle. "Now I need a new shirt." Phoenix looked at her shirt.
Soon the elevator came and we stepped in. I pushed the down button and we rode the elevator in silence.
The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. "Let's get back to camp." I murmered.
"Alright." Phoenix agreed.
I led Phoenix outside ad down the street. We eventually made our way to china town. The street was deserted-it's a Chinese holiday. I went down an alley, and Phoenix stayed close. "What're we here for?" Phoenix nervously asked.
"To shadow travel back to camp." I said over my shoulder.
"Alright." Se nodded.
"Ready?"
"Yeah."
I grabbed her shoulder and shadow traveled to camp. Everything was the same except the sun was lower in the sky and more campers were out. Jason was flying in circles and Percy, Annabeth and piper were following on foot. When Jason saw us he pointed and yelled something.
Percy was the first to run to us. "Phoenix, the Ares and Hephaestus cabin are doing a challenge. Do you wanna try it?" Percy asked Phoenix.
"Um... What do I have to do?" She asked.
"You have to build a device and get trough an obstacle course with ease. You can't use oil or jets." Annabeth answered for Percy.
"Sign me up." Phoenix shrugged.
"We already did." Jason said as he landed.
"Why?"
"You said yes anyway." Percy yelled.
"When does it start?" Phoenix sighed.
Percy looked at the watch he didn't have on his wrist. "About two minutes. And its at the arena."
"You guys'll know where to find me." Phoenix yelled over her shoulder as she ran to the arena.
*Phoenix's P.O.V*
I ran to the arena as fast as my legs would allow. When I got there people were flooding in. Leo grabbed my arm. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"I don't know."
