*Beta's P.O.V*

Julian reached into the package and pulled out a small black cube with a hook attached to one side.

He pulled the door open and I watched him hand it to Delta. Julian walked out, grabbed an empty needles and small bottle. He walked to his paper, put a small 'x' in a box and stuck the needle point into the top of the bottle. He turned it upside down and pulled the plunger. The chamber of the needle filled with a blue tinted liquid.

Julian pulled out the needle, placed the bottle next to the paper and made his way to Delta. When he stepped into the small room Delta quickly took a step back. "It's just pain-killer." Julian said in a coaxing way.

Delta didn't move. Julian stepped forward and Delta quickly threw herself into the wall behind her. She appeared next to me. "End gave you aichmophobia, didn't he?" Julian stepped out of the small room.

"Whatever that means." Delta picked up the small bottle and read the label.

She placed the bottle on the table and walked into the shadow cast by the computer. She appeared in the small room and Julian stepped back inside the small room.

"If I die, it's your fault." I herd Delta say.

I faintly smiled as I read the small bottle's label. When I looked up, Julian was closing the door and Delta had the small black cube on the side of her arm. "We're starting at 20*F." Julian said and Delta nodded. He turned a dial on the side of the sound board.

Julian looked from Delta to a small screen on the sound board. "Beta, the top number is her body temperature and the bottom number is the temperature around her." I looked over Julian's shoulder as he pointed to the screen.

"Her body temperature is only twenty degrees above average." Julian looked at me.

"Would that be bad?" I asked.

"No. It's actually, really good. This means she can survive in extremely cold environments." Julian wrote something on his paper.

"Alright, we're going down to ten." Julian looked up at Delta, who was casually walking around the small room.

Julian turned the dial and Delta instantly began to shiver. "Can't survive in temperatures under 10 degrees." Julian said to himself, writing on his paper.

We went up to thirty and increased the temperature by 10 degrees until Delta became to lose consciousness at 140 degrees. "Get her out!" Julian yelled, setting the temperature down to 60.

I pulled the door open and grabbed Delta. I rushed out of the room, with Delta in my arms. Slowly, she came back to reality as Julian cleaned up.

"You okay?" I asked her.

She nodded, "Okay."

"Don't ever leave me again." I held her close.

"What?" She looked up at me.

"Do you remember Octavian?"

"Who?"

"He captured us and tortured us. He beat us and nearly killed us every day we were there." I explained.

"How did I leave you?"

"You died." I said.

"Oh..." She looked down.

We stayed that for a while until Julian cleared his throat. "Sorry." I quietly said.

Julian approached Delta and pulled the cube from her arm. She winced as he did so. Julian sighed and walked to the small table that the sound board sat on. He picked up the empty needle and filled it with the pain-killer. As he approached Delta, she tensed.
