Chap 5: Joining the Acadamy (E)

The rest of the day was normal as they walked home, Naru asleep on Kakashi's back as he walked. He shivered slightly as she moved and sighed contently into his neck. 'If she keeps doing this to me I won't be able to hold back anymore...' Kakashi sighed and continues walking to their shared apartment where he lay Naru in his bed and she fell asleep in his arms.

3 Years Later-Normal POV

Naru was in the Hokage's office talking about her future, "Naru I want you to join the ninja academy and make some friends," the Hokage requested.

She walked over to the Hokage and put her hand over his so she could talk telepathically to him, 'I don't see why I have to go back to being a genin to make friends and I have plenty,' Naru argued.

The Hokage sighed and looked at her with his cheek resting on his fist, "Naru those friends you're talking about are all about 8 to 11 years older than you. Maybe more. I believe that you need more friends outside of Anbu that are the same age as you. It's not healthy for a child your age to not have friends that are the same," the Hokage explained, trying his best to get Naru to agree.

Naru sighed exasperatedly and looked at the Hokage with a bored face, 'Do I have to?' She whined.

The Hokage smiled, "Yes you do. You need more friends and I believe this is the most effective way." The Hokage continued to explain. "You'll only have to be with them for a year and you'll still have your anbu duties so it's not like you'll have nothing. It could be fun to look on the bright side."

'Fine, I'll go to the academy on one condition.' Naru agreed, the Hokage perked up, interested as he heard there was a condition of her going.

"Whats the condition?" he asked curiously but skeptically.

'I want to be put on Kakashi's team. He is a jonin taking on students now, yes?' She requested.

The Hokage smiled, "It was already happening anyway so you have nothing to worry about."

Naru nodded and the Hokage continued, "If its alright with you will you start at the academy today? I'll bring you myself." The Hokage proposed.

Naru sighed again, 'Alright but how am I supposed to talk to everyone?' She asked.

"I'll handle that. I'll tell everyone how they can talk to you, though you might have to remind them that you're mute once in a while." The Hokage explained as they walked through his doors. He turned to his assistant and told him he would be right back and that he was attending to duties elsewhere. She nodded and wrote something down on her clipboard then they walked away toward the academy.

At the academy Naru's POV

'Ahhh, I wish Kakashi was here. Then I wouldn't be so bored. I'd have someone to talk to.' I wined in my head so the Hokage wouldn't hear me.

"You just say that because you like him. Speaking of which when are you gonna tell him about your feeling kit?" Kurama asked as we neared the front of the school.

'I don't know, I'll figure it out somehow. I'm gonna stop thinking about it though because it makes me blush. Then Jiji will ask what wrong so let's talk about something else,' I proposed to get my mind off of it so I didn't blush later when I saw Kakashi at home.

"Hehe. Sure, Who do you think is the most promising in your class?" he inquired.

I thought about it for a little while before answering, 'I think that the Uchiha would be the most promising of the year but he's just so arrogant and self-centered that is kind of balances out his good qualities y'know?' Kurama sweatdropped at my answer but agreed. Then I noticed that we were almost at the door of my class and told Kurama that I'd talk to him later.
