His fingertips gently brush against her soft skin. He intertwines his fingers with hers, sending shocks through her veins. The butterflies in her stomach went into overdrive as the warmth of his skin met with hers. She could feel her insides melt as he pulls her close to him. He holds her close to his body with one arm while his other hand gently brushes upwards, sending goosebumps all over her skin. A gentle laugh escapes under his breath as he assures her that there's no need for her to feel nervous. "You're with me." He tells her. Her heart races as his hand travels further upwards. He brushes her long black hair out of the way before gently holding her chin. She could feel herself getting high by his body scent as he leans closer and closer, ready to meet her lips for the first time.

Su-mi's eyelids suddenly fly open and gasps while frantically sitting up. She looks around the room with her heart still racing. The sun shines brightly through the sheer curtains of her bedroom. She exhales a long sigh when she realizes it was just a dream. She rubs her eyes before reaching over at the nightstand to unplug her phone.

*riiiiiing.........riiiiiiiing.....* She waits for the other person to pick up.

"H-hello?"

"Carlo! It's me."

"Heeeeeeeyyyy my loooove." Carlo, Su-mi's best friend greets her with long slurred words. "How's it g-going huhhh?"

"Hey...Um..Wait...I can already tell you're busy." She chuckles. That was Su-mi's way of saying "I can tell you're plastered." It wasn't hard to tell by the way he dragged his words.

Plus there was a lot of noise in the background. She almost forgot about the big time difference between PST and KST.

"Naaaaah. Not at all love. Oh hey, there's a cutie sitting a few chairs away from me. Hehehe." Carlo is almost too drunk to talk to.

"I'll let you go. Call me when it's morning over there, ok? I have to tell you about this dream I had. It was really weird.."

"Ohhh okay, girly. I love you . Oh wait...H-Heyy what's...N-Nate doing here? Susy, you're boyfriend is...is here at a....at a gay club you know." Carlo struggles to get the words out.

"Huh?? Are you sure?" Su-mi itches the side of her head. She furrows her eyebrows, unsure if whether to take Carlo seriously. "Carlo, you're completely wasted. It might not be him."

"Love, I've always hated his guts. You know this. There's no way I'd mistake him for someone else. H-HEYYY.... NATHAN!—"

"Don't, Carlo. Look, I'll call him right now. Ok? We'll talk later. Love ya, be careful!" *BEEP*

Su-mi then calls Nate, but there's no answer. Instead, it goes to his voicemail machine but Su-mi decides to end the call without leaving a voice message.

Within a few minutes, her phone chimes. It's a message from Nate:

Hey baby. I'm half asleep. Is everything alright?

Su-mi could feel herself exhale in relief. She couldn't deny the fact that what Carlo said had her a bit concerned. She decides not to respond, assuming that he fell right back to sleep.

She rubs her chin as she recalls the dream she had. She could remember perfectly the hands and body of the man she was with, but she couldn't see his face. She recalls Nate's physical appearance, but according to her memory, it didn't seem like it was Nate's body. His hands are a lot more rugged, and his finger tips aren't as soft as the ones in her dream.

But then again, dreams are weird like that. You don't always dream the exact details of a person, no matter how well you know them. It still had to be Nate though, right? He is her boyfriend and he's the only guy she's ever been serious with. She's been with him so long, she can't remember what it was like to get butterflies and goosebumps like that, though. But it only makes sense that she'd dream about him and only him.
