"Hi daddy. It's me again. Just checking in..wondering how you and mom are doing... um... I haven't heard from you in like two months. Hye-mi is here with me. She sends her greetings. Anyways, love you... hope to hear from you soon." *Beep*
Su-mi pulls the throw blanket higher over her to huddle herself underneath. She passes the remote to her side, "Here. Change the channel." She leans her head on the arm rest of the couch.
Hye-mi makes clicking sounds with her tongue as she reaches for the remote.
"Dad needs to stop being so stubborn and answer your calls already." She shakes her head. Her tone didn't sound too surprised. Probably because she knows their dad so well. This wasn't anything new for her.
"He's still mad that I came here."
"Well what does he expect!? For you to stick around while your mom's bitch of a—?"
Su-mi tenses up and buried herself under her blanket some more. Hye-mi tightens her lips immediately. A little too much was said unfortunately.
"I'm sorry." She begins. "It's just—"
"Don't be. I get it." Su-mi retorts. "My mom hasn't been the best to you. I know that. I wish there was something I could do."
"Agh," Hye-mi waves her hand, dismissing Su-mi's comment. "I'm an adult now. 8 years your senior. It doesn't matter to me what that woman thinks of me anymore." She smirks, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm just glad you're not like her."
"Me toooooo." Su-mi nods.
"Although!...."
"Oh great. Although what?"
"Although," Hye-mi starts waving her finger, "you're just like our dad! Stubborn. Petty....stubborn...close-minded...I mentioned stubborn, right?"
Su-mi rolls her eyes but begins to snicker. She agrees to what her sister says. It's true. She has their dad's brain and personality. The only thankful thing she inherited from her mom was her petite built and her black, raven hair. Her dad is really tall but very 'stocky'.
The delightful mood between the two sisters quickly fades when they see what's written all over the screen:
BREAKING: North Korea threatens to attack United States West Coast. President and U.S. government officials are preparing military--
They listen carefully with pale expressions while the news anchor gives the latest details.
Minutes pass, but their eyes don't move from the screen until Hye-mi finally reaches for the remote and turns off the tv entirely.
They stay quiet now, unable to continue their previous conversation.

"Okay I think we have it!" Namjoon throws himself back and turns himself around on the screechy spinning chair. "We just need to get all the vocalists to do the main chorus one last time and then have Jungkook sing the last part of the outro."
Hoseok grins with pride, "Finally!" He stretches out each limb when getting up from the sofa.
Yoongi's wiping down the equipment. "You guys are going to swoon the ladies with this song."
