"Thank you again, for helping us out. You have no idea how much we needed this. This computer is our life."
Hoseok laughs under his breath as reaches in his pocket to pull out his wallet. Su-mi see's the bills and quickly holds her hand out.
"N-no Hoseok. Don't. Please." She pleads nervously. "Your appreciation is enough."
Hoseok stares at her dumbfounded for a few moments before shaking his head.
"Normally, people accept the grateful gestures that are given to them...But alright." He rubs the back of his head with a strange expression on his face as he step away.
"I-It's just...." she stutters as she rubs her arm, "I do this all the time, you know?" She laughs nervously, as she stands there uncomfortable and aware that she's probably offended him. This is the second time she's tried to reject a kind gesture from him.
Hoseok doesn't respond and disappears into the kitchen.
Su-mi bites her lip, feeling completely unease at this point. She looks around her, trying to come up with an idea to ward off the akward silence.
To her luck, the door flies open instead. It's Yoongi who walks in, unexpectedly saving the uncomfortable moment.
Su-mi lets out a sigh of relief to see him. She greets him with a smile and quickly points at the desktop behind her.
"It's fixed!" She says with a tone of excitement.
"No way, That's great!" Yoongi responds with an excited smile as he looks over at Hoseok. "Hey man. I forgot to tell you that she was heading over to fix that thing, by the way."
"Yeah, thanks for the heads up." He chuckles sarcastically. He glances over to Su-mi. "Thank you again for taking the time to do us this favor." His low tone shows that the awkward tension between them is still there.
"Hey, since you didn't want us to pay you, you should stick around instead since you're already here. The other guys are coming over. Jin is bringing over some soju. They're great guys. Although, we do get a bit rowdy, but I promise you we're all friendly." Yoongi holds his hands out as he shrugs his shoulders, hoping she'll accept.
"Aw that's really sweet of you. But I-" Su-mi looks over at Hoseok who lets out a quite sarcastic laugh under his breath but doesn't make eye contact with her. He pulls out his phone to play with it instead as he leans down to sit on the sofa.
She stays silent for a moment as she carefully thinks of the next words to say.
"But I don't drink. Is that okay?" She curls her lips in, pressing hard as she buries her hands into her pockets. "F*ck. I can't believe I'm actually saying this..."
Hoseok peeks up at her with raised eyebrows. He wasn't expecting her to actually accept Yoongi's offer so quickly like that.
"Awesome!" Yoongi grins a gummy smile that Su-mi's never seen. "Don't worry. I don't drink either." He winks over at Hoseok who snickers at his comment.
To her relief, Hoseok seems more relaxed now that she's finally decided to accept their invitation. Su-mi feels more at ease, but feels a bit nervous at the same time since she has no clue what to expect with these guys.
While waiting for the rest of the group to show up, Yoongi and Hoseok explain to Su-mi about how they and their friends make music together, thus clarifying the reason for all the unique equipment laying around. Su-mi was a bit impressed, but didn't think much of it since guys back in her hometown did this as a hobby. So hearing this wasn't completely new to her. Little did she know that these guys were really serious about it.
