Tyler sighed, placing his pen down so he could stretch his arms. He was extremely stiff from sitting on the bench for hours, and he just wished he could go home. But he couldn't. He hadn't answered the question that he had been asking himself for months. He still didn't completely understand why she left. It couldn't have been because of his feelings. She probably knew from the start that he had feelings for her. It must have been obvious, the way she would catch him staring at her, or how nervous he would get when she was close to him. She couldn't have cared. It was just a crush, no big deal. At least, that's what Jenna must have thought.

It was much more than a crush to Tyler. He loved her, she was his everything. When he was around her, he was able to push his bad thoughts aside. Nothing else mattered when he was with her. She was his medicine, his remedy.

Jenna was holding back the entire time, and Tyler knew it. She didn't want to fall in love, especially with someone she considered a best friend. However, Jenna wasn't the only one trying to hold herself back. Her sister was too.

As her sister would say, Jenna didn't have time for boys. She should be focusing on studying, passing her classes, and graduating. Graduate so she that could finally move out and live on her own.

Tyler knew this, yet he let himself interfere nonetheless. Yet another mistake he made that he wished he could fix.

You had to get your hopes up, didn't you? You had to believe that she liked you, even though you knew you were living in your own little fantasy. You got her in trouble, and then caused even more conflict between her and her sister. What more could you have possibly ruined? You're such a mess.

Jenna was at Tyler's house again. Of course, Jenna couldn't have possibly left her house without flash cards and her school book to study from, so her schoolwork was sprawled out across the coffee table. Tyler was helping her study, yet again.

"Jenna, you've studied so much, I'm almost certain you're going to get an A on your test," Tyler chuckled, setting down the stack of flash cards that he read over at least five times.

"I don't know. This class is hard, and my sister will kill me if I do bad," Jenna shrugged, slumping back into the cushioned couch. She sighed heavily, closing her eyes in exhaustion.

"How about a small break. Want anything to drink?" Tyler offered, standing up from the couch.

"Lemonade please," Jenna answered. "The pink kind though," she added with a small smile.

"To match your hair?" Tyler laughed as he started walking off. He could hear a faint 'yes!' as he entered the kitchen, causing him to giggle to himself. He opened the fridge, specifically took a pink cup from the cabinet, and poured the lemonade into it. He brought it inside, carefully handing it to Jenna.

"Thank you," she said, taking it from him.

Tyler leaned over the wooden coffee table to pick up her flashcards, and a pink pen that was laying next to them. He figured he would scribble meaningless drawings onto the index cards as he waited for Jenna to finish her lemonade.

He found himself drawing little hearts with the pink inked pen all over the index card. He felt like a middle school boy, thinking about his crush and drawing hearts all around her name. He almost laughed because of how pathetic he felt.
