If there was one thing in the world that Stan hated the most, it was running. Running running running. From Bowers, from IT, or crazy deranged fathers. He hated running.

And that was what they were doing. Running through the sewers as fast as they could, trying their hardest to get away from IT. And of course, IT was chasing them in the form of the weird "shadow monster" that Stan kept seeing in his dreams. Were they actually dreams? They were more like visions, Stan would say. And they scared him.

Not wanting to talk, the same question floated through the minds of the Losers. What the hell was that and who feared it?

Stan looked behind him, trying to see where the monster was. Of course, it was right behind them. A wispy arm extended towards them, yearning for its prey. Stan noticed the dim lights in the sewer begin to flicker. IT quickly went around him, running after the other kids. They continued down the sewer, whereas Stan had stopped. The lights in the sewer turned the now familiar shade of blue and Stan knew he was back in the toxic wasteland. He looked at his surroundings and saw the thick vines covering almost every seeable surface. The water from the sewers was completely gone. Seeing a beam of light ahead of him, he walked towards it, using the ladder to climb out of the sewers.

His first thought was that this had to be one of IT's tricks. He wasn't in Derry anymore. Or, what looked like Derry anyways. He was standing to the side of a cul-de-sac, houses ringing the outside of it with a woods beyond that. He was still in the toxic wasteland.

He saw a small boy standing in front of him, only about twenty yards away. The small boy looked to have a bowl cut and was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. He was staring at the sky. And when Stan looked up towards the sky, he wished he hadn't. He saw dark black clouds, with a mysterious red energy floating through them. The shadow monster from his visions back in Derry was there, right in front of him.

Stan looked towards the small boy and saw him shaking, frozen in fear. Stan ran over to the boy and put his hand on the boy's shoulder. The boy whipped his head around to look at Stan, panic, and fear in his eyes.

"You're fine," Stan reassured. "I'm only a person."

The boy seemed to relax at those words. The look in his eyes softened, only a little, but enough for Stan to see that the boy trusted him.

All in one moment, they were thrust out of the vision and back into reality, were four other boys and one girl were all standing near them, looking at Stan as if he were an alien.

In which case, they might be right.

YEET!!!! *throws water bottle* I FINALLY got this first chapter done. It was only about 450 words, so everything after this will be longer. But for now, this is what you have been blessed with.

Fun fact: I wrote this chapter during classes today, and didn't get caught. Then changed some things once I got to technology at home.

And ships WILL happen. Just...give me some time.
