CHAPTER FIVE

It's been a week now since my encounter with ivy, we have suddenly become good friends. She was a very social and fun loving girl, I wonder where Zain got his weird character from.

It was school over and I was strolling towards the school gate with With Roy. I am now a member of the school band club, and Roy is the school band mayor, he's quite handsome and very friendly.
He's one of the senior friends i have and he's always there for me whenever I need his help.

My mood changed when I saw Zain walking towards us, I thought of a way to escape but it was too late "Alexandra please can I have a word with you??" Shit
Zain recognized Roy's presence and they exchanged their homeboy greetings. "Uhmmm I think I will excuse you guys now, my driver is here already" Roy said pecking me on my cheek. Zain cleared his throat loudly while glaring at us, but seriously this peck is taking longer than usual.
Roy has been behaving awkward towards me, the way he looks at me and holds my hand, at times he even get lost while looking at me.
My thoughts were interrupted by Zain "Roy your driver is waiting" this brought Roy back to reality. "Bye Alex" he winked at me before leaving. Now it's time to face The devil.

There was a piercing silence between the both of us, Zain just stood there looking at me like though he wasn't sure of what he wanted to say.
"So High Zain just what sort of bullying package do you have for me today, let me guess maybe you want me to go down on my knees and kiss your feet"
He ran his hand through his hair and took a step closer to me "Alex can't we talk for once without exchanging words? Am not here to hurt you, I just want to ask you for a favour."
What!! What kind of favour would the almighty Zain want from me, I studied his face to be sure of what he just said but his expression showed that he was serious.
"Alex it's about ivy, she has refused to do anything, she no longer leaves her room, she hardly eats or play, all she do all day is cry.
She has refused to talk to me or her nanny and Dad is not around to talk to her, she said the only thing she wants is for you to spend a night with her"

Geez.. it really broke my heart to hear that ivy was going through all this but I don't want Zain to see me as a cheap girl.
"Uhmmm high Zain I want to go home now my sister is waiting for me" I was about walking away when he blocked my way, I looked at him and our eyes met. What I saw there made me shiver, anger, tears and frustration were all present there, for once I saw Zain as a human being.

I wanted to run away but he had blocked every access I had to do that.
"Alex i thought you said you loved Ivy and now am telling you something serious about her and you have the guts to walk out, what's wrong with you or do you think am enjoying the way am asking you for a favour?" I really felt pity for him, he must have really been through a lot to make ivy happy.
Maybe I could just do this for ivy, mum and dad traveled to south Africa for a business trip, so I can sleep at Zain's place, aaaarrgh... it sounds so awkward saying am sleeping at Zain's place, It's just like am saying am going to spend the night with the devil.
"You really know how to plead with someone, expect me at your place by 8:30pm this night.
He heaved a sigh of relief and Gave me that his signature smile "Meda ase p Alex (thank you very much Alex) I will send my driver to come pick you up"
"Don't send anyone I will come myself, so please can you excuse me know?" I said trying to squeeze myself between the little space left.

He just smiled and pushed me back lightly with his left shoulder, then moved closer to me that our lips were almost touching. He put his lip close to my ear then whispered "so we have a deal?"
I still Don't understand why I fidget whenever Zain is around, I mean who the hell does he think he is to make me fidget whenever he is around.
This has to stop right now, Alex look into his eyes and say whatever you want to say. Make him know you can't be intimidated by his presence
"I don't make deals with the devil" he looked at me for a while still smiling before leaving the way for me to pass.

I got home and started the things I will need for my all night, I decided to use the bag grandpa George gave me when he returned from Tanzania. Rachael came into my room and saw me packing "what's up sis, why are you putting your stuffs in that bag?"she asked sitting On my bed.
I quickly told her about my encounter with Zain, After telling her the story she started screaming and jumping '? "What's up Rach, why are you So happy"
"Oh my God!!! Alex you are gonna spend a night at Kuffour's mansion, wow!! This is a dream come true. And you are also gonna spend a night with Zain, so romantic.
"Hey young lady am spending the night with Ivy not Zain" I defended trying to look very serious. Although I hate saying this but I felt kind of excited about the idea of seeing Zain this night.
"Common sis just spill it out, you are excited about spending a night with Zain" I pretended to be irritated by what she said.
"You know what Rachael, just shut up" I said zipping up my bag. "Alright this issue is getting more interesting, what about we make a deal. If something romantic happens between the both of you, you will buy me a wristwatch but if nothing romantic happens then I will buy you a wristwatch"
"Hee (sure) deal" I said giving her a hug before leaving.
