GIVE ME A CHANCE

CHAPTER SEVEN

      Open the gate!!! I yelled, I have been knocking on the gate of my house for God knows how long and I still haven't gotten any reply.
At times I wonder what on earth uncle Peter oh sorry dad was thinking when he employed such a fat and lazy man as his gateman.
I was about knocking again when he finally opened the gate and smiled. "Young man where have you been?"
"Sorry I was in the bathroom"
he said trying to use the puppy eyes on me. He needed to have seen his face he looked horrible. "Please keep your face like that of a human" I said while smiling at him before strolling towards the main door. I was about knocking when my eyes caught a mirror close to the door. I looked horrible!! My hair was looking messy and it stood at different edges coz I haven't combed it this morning all because I was trying to run away from Zain.

       I smiled as what happened last night came flooding into my mind, I woke up this morning only to find myself sleeping in Zain's arm on the sofa, this crazy child what if someone sees us in this position. I quietly disentangled myself from him, luckily for me when I got  to ivy's room she was still sleeping so I packed my stuffs then left.

"So are you coming in or you are just gonna stand there daydreaming miss Napia"
Maria's voice brought me back to reality, she stood at the door post smiling at Me. Fuck! I didn't even know Maria has opened the door and was waiting for Me to come inside but I just there thinking of Zainomi.
Maria was the house help, she is a nice lady in her late forties, she has the most beautiful smile and according to Rachael she has stayed with them for ten years now. I greeted her before walking into my room, I was about taking off my cloth when Rachael ran into my room
"Alex you are back"she squealed happily. Hmmm what's the excitement all about.
"Yes dear am back and you better get me my wristwatch coz nothing happened between me and zain,I didn't even talk to him" BIG LIE
"Alexandra Napia stop lying!!" She yelled giving me a knock on my head. "Ouch!!"I massaged my head "am not lying"
She gave me a mischievous smile, what's she up to right now.
"Really? Nothing happened between you and Zain right? So what's this" she pointed the screen of her phone towards me, showing me a picture. I came closer to take a good look at the picture and what I  saw there nearly made me collapse.
God am so doomed!! "Rachael what am I gonna do am in big trouble now" she just stared at me looking confused "Alex I just don't get you, why are you crying and how are you in trouble because of a picture"
I glared at her, where did her brain travel to? How can she even forget about GWEN MENSAH.

Gwen Mensah is my senior at school, she is obsessed over Zain, she believes that Zain was meant for her alone. She is from a rich family, a spoilt brat. She has two friends and together they form a very stupid group. Trust me you  don't want to ever have anything to do with this girls, they think they can treat anyone like trash.
Nobody dears talk about Zain to her hearing, I can never forget how she embarrassed a student in public coz she said she had a crush on Zain.
And right now am looking at a picture of me resting my head on Zain's lap and Zain pecking me on my forehead, so it wasn't a dream, he really pecked me last night. Someone took this picture of us last night and posted it on Facebook. No need of asking I already know the culprit IVY!! So she was pretending to be asleep.

I think Rachael sensed what I was thinking coz she opened her eyes in realization. "Gwen" she whispered. "Yes Gwen, am sure she has seen this picture, how am I gonna go to school tomorrow" I said crying the more.
Rachael will always be Rachael, some how she managed to cheer me up. We were now sitting on my bed eating a biscuit she bought.
"Alex there's something I want to tell you"
"Go on"

"Too many questions!!! Anyway it's Roy your band mayor."
"OMG!! Awwn Roy is a nice guy don't worry I will do the connection myself. " it was like those were the word she has been waiting to hear, she jumped on me giving me kisses allover my face.
