CHAPTER NINE

        I fell on my knees sobbing, I felt so bad that Rachael believed what everyone said and left me to face this crowd alone.
      I heard Gwen laugh triumphantly, "ooh look who's on her knees now, I told you no one messes with Gw...
Her words were cut short when I heard a sound that sounded like though someone was slapped.
I raised my head and saw Gwen holding her cheek, and High Nancy glaring at her.
It was obvious that high Nancy slapped her but what actually made me more confused was the fact that Gwen didn't say a word to her instead she just stared at her looking scared. So this bitch got someone she's actually scared of.
"Gwen Mensah, this should be the very last you will lay a finger on Alexandra, the very next time something like this happens I guarantee you an immediate expulsion from this school. And you all standing here, Don't you have something better doing? Will you all get the fuck out of my sight!! " she spat out and everyone took to their heels including Gwen. Wow!  Who the hell is high Nancy? 

     High Nancy helped me get up and she took me to the restroom. She used a clean towel to wipe my knee and I just stared at her the whole while, a lot of things running through my mind.
"Spill it out" she said taking me unaware.
"Eh? "
She smiled at me and placed her hand on my cheek "Alex darling I know there's something you wanna ask me just go ahead and say it it's ok" I cleared my throat before talking "high Nancy...
"Just call me Nancy" she said
"Ok Nancy, thank you very much for helping me today, I didn't know what would have happened if you  haven't come at that time"I said holding her other hand.
"Awwn Alex it's ok..  am glad I got the chance to publicly embarrass Gwen plus am very sorry about my school daughter's behaviour, I will discipline her myself I  promise." I just nodded in reply.
"But Nancy how come Everyone obeyed you like that including Gwen"
She looked at me like though I have grown two heads "OMG Alexandra you are really a novice in this school" she said laughing "anyways am Nancy Kuffour, so I guess you  can connect the dots"
My jaw dropped Ajar, so she's Zain's cousin... Wow.
She stood up to drop the towel in  the sink when someone interrupted us "Alex? "
Shit!!! I wasn't ready to face him yet, high Nancy oh sorry Nancy quickly came over to me
"Alex darling since he's here am gonna take my leave now, I will see you around" she hugged me before leaving.
Now I have to face him alone

      Roy came closer to me and I took a step back but he quickly held me and pulled me to him hugging me. "Alex please don't run away from me, am so sorry for letting you go through all this alone, I was stuck in traffic." He released me then held my hands looking into my eyes.
"Yes I have liked you for a while now, I tried showing it to you in  different ways" he let out a low chuckle "but you thought I was doing it out of love of a band mayor but you got it all wrong, I really love you"

    Like seriously I never expected  that Roy will one day stand in front of me and confess his love for me. I have  always seen him as my big brother.
Poor Roy, I felt so bad for him but  I just have to shatter his hopes. The both of us can never be a thing, my sister is already in love with him.
"Roy am very sorry but.... "
"Ssssh" he interrupted me "just think about it ok? "
I just nodded but I knew my answer will always remain NO.
We both hugged each other tighter, I really felt bad for him. Roy has always been nice to me, if it hadn't been for Rach I would have said yes straight away.

       "Get your hands off her!! "
Not now! I didn't have to turn around to know who owns that voice.
Zain pulled me away from Roy's arm, he gave me a deadly glare before taking a step closer to Roy
"Don't you ever touch her again" he spat out with great venom in his voice. 
What's up with all this drama, am meant to be the one angry here not the other way round.
"Zain you don't tell me what to do and besides Alexandra will soon be my girlfriend, so I....
Zain didn't allow him finish his sentence before he pined Roy to the wall and choked him. 
      "Don't you dare call her your girlfriend you idiot" Zain was really scaring me right now, he's going to kill Roy.  Roy was gasping for air and clawing at Zain's  hand  but he didn't even bulge.
"Zain please stop this, you are going to kill him!!" I pleaded with him trying to remove his hand from Roy's neck. 
"Zain please" I pleaded again holding his arm, his body relaxed a little when his eyes met mine. He took a deep breath before releasing Roy who sat on the floor gasping for air.  

       I was about going to kneel beside Roy when Zain held my arm and dragged me along with him towards the door.
"Leave me alone you animal!! What the hell is wrong with you?!!  I screamed while he kept on dragging me until we got to the hallway leading to the rest room.
He pushed me to the wall roughly, I winced from in pain from the impact and glared  at him.
His eyes were looking red, vein lines were protruding on his temple and forehead, his nose was flared In anger.  He was really scaring the hell out of me.
"Zain you are scaring me!!" I yelled at him as tears started rolling down my cheek.

      He let out a groan and hit the wall besides me. I saw blood roll down his fingers, what the hell has come over Zain?
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before taking a step closer to me, I flinched away from him making him hit the wall again. Ouch!! He closed the gap between us putting his hands beside me on the wall, practically caging me.
"Alex am sorry OK? I don't know what came over me, I just don't like the way he was all over you"
"Seriously?" I scoffed
"Zainomi Kuffour, who I talk to is none of your business, how could you treat a fellow guy like that?"
"And I will do even more than that when next I see you with him" he fired back.
Ok now I see that this guy have really gone crazy, then it happened so fast before I even had the chance to think about it, I did something I know am surely going to regret.
