I crawled back into what used to be our safe haven, with two peeny humans trailing behind me. My bond with Sookie was still void, no feelings what so ever. Godric had sent me out to get some more blood thinking that she may be in some vampire comatos state; but that was unheard of. So was people travelling back in time, I sighed; hoping for the best.

I rounded the corner and hissed. There was another vampire in the room talking ot Godric. She was old, her grey hair stood out, her blind eyes darted back and forth. "Viking; you have nothing to fear from me." She crowed. "I am the Oracle; I know of Sookie's situation."

I stood up, my eyes narrow. I had heard of the Oracle; but to have her here, shortly after Sookie's attack was a little un-nerving for me. I glanced at Godric, his blood-stained cheeks sadly nodding. I raced to him, filled with concern. "What is it Godric?" I asked, my eyes darting to Sookie. "Has she worsened?"

He nodded, his eyes trained on her. His emerald eyes held so much pain; they had no brightness to them, they were dull. "The Oracle foreseen her not surviving this; that fates will decide to take her now." My blood roared in protest. Hissing at the vampire in question; I advanced on her wanting to kill her for suggesting that our mate would not live for much sooner.

She held her hands out; her voice filled with such sympathy. "I know how you feel Viking; and let me say her death won't be in vain. She will return, back to her time as her purpose is so close to being fulfilled." She gestured to me and the ashes of Talbot. "You will see her again, your timeline with her will be restored. You will meet her the same time as she said in the future; the circumstances maybe different, her life maybe different- but she will still be the same Sookie."

I nodded in understanding. Then I felt Godric's grief and sorrow twice fold. There was also a little strain of jealously. "Godric; she's your mate too." He shook his head and turned his back on us and left the room. I wanted to go after him, but the old bat stopped me.

"Don't; allow me." With that she left and I was alone in the room with Sookie. I curled into bed next to her, gently pulling her into my arms. I finally stopped long enough to see how she looked. She didn't look like she was getting worse; instead she seemed better. All her beautiful skin had grown back, her hair all cleaned and dried. But as I was thinking those; I saw the truth in his words. Her skin may have grown back but it was pale, deathly; her hair was dull and dead.

I walked out of the bedroom and sat on a slab of broken stone, crying into my hands. I didn't want Eric to see how weak I had gotten. The thought of Sookie no longer existing shattered my undead heart. It pained me to think that The Oracle was only talking to him, I loved Sookie too. I loved them both because I did believe that we were all mates.

I heard the Oracle leave after me, and the stone shifting. Her footsteps approached me slowly, her voice low when she finally spoke. "Gaul; the Fae-Hybrid Princess is your mate as well. I was directing the fates vison to him because I thought you had understood by my words before he arrived."

I looked up from my hands. "If she were our mate; then why is she dying? If she were our mate; we should have been able to save her." I snarled. Jumping up, I paced the room. The Oracle sighed. "Godric, she is leaving now because her purpose is finished. She needs to go back, so you can all see each other in the future. Heed my words; you will reunite with her, she may just have lived differently, met you in a different circumstance. But you will be together again."

I stopped and stared at her. I went to retort, when Eric's blood began to call me. Vamping to the room, I stopped before the bed. Eric was sitting up, with Sookie leaning against him; her eyes open and smiling. "Sookie!" I cried racing to hug her. As soon as she was in my arms again; the darkness slowly dissipated from my mind. She was ok, she was alive.

Sookie nuzzled into my neck, her arms weakly attempting to wrap around me. I glanced down at her, worried and in denial, her eyes shouted love and guilt. "Sookie?" I whispered, Eric coming up behind her, his eyes etched with the same feelings as me. She closed her eyes and a blood diamond escaped her eye. Her lips quivered as she spoke between coughing up blood.

"The Oracle is right; I'm not going to make this. I feel it; also, she came to me in a vison, the one from my time. Don't worry, like she said; we'll meet again; you'll remember me. I won't remember you, and won't be a vampire; but will feel the mate pull to the both of you, because that's what we three are- Mates."

I hung my head, defeated. "But; what if we don't meet, what happens if something happens before the year two thousand and eight?" She whimpered, making me look up winching, at her expression. Heartbreak and rejection was written her face. I quickly leaned forward, my eyes glued onto hers. Slowly and gently I kissed her, as I thought to her, Don't think that. I love you and always will. I just don't want you to leave at all.

She stiffened in my arms, then relaxed, crying into the kiss. My hand found Eric's and pulled him closer. Kissing down her jawline, Eric claimed her lips. The Oracle left, although still in the tunnel, her presence near but far enough for privacy.

Sookie broke away and cleared her throat. "There is something I can give you now, to help for the future." Instantly we both looked at her, our eyes narrowed. She looked away, hanging her head. "I can't use it to save me now, but I can give you some of my light; The Oracle said that it'll be restored to me, when I am born."

I shook my head, "No; save it for you." Through our ties I felt Eric agreeing; but Sookie wasn't.

"It'll just go to waste, take it and use it against Russell." She coughed. More blood flooded from her mouth.

Eric buried his face into her neck, blood trailing down her shoulder. Nodding, I accepted her gift. Trying not to cry; I blocked all emotions, needing to be the strong one. Smiling at me, she reached out, her hand pulsating with light. Leaning forward, she kissed me, her fangs nicking my lip. Groaning in to the kiss; I tasted the cocktail of both of our blood in my mouth. My chest suddenly felt extremely hot, as if someone had pierced me with a silver stake, missing my heart.

Cursing in pain, I pulled away and her hand followed. It was her light that was hurting me. My body didn't want to accept it, whimpering I leaned back in, willing myself to be happy with this gift. As I made up my mind, the pain disappeared, being replaced with pleasure.

I felt warmth all around my body, heavenly sun-scented warmth. All but one area; growling I saw Sookie riding me, her face pinched in pain but her eyes shone pleasure. Unable to do anything but buck up into her, my hands rested on her hips, directing her to the speed I needed.

"Fuck", she swore, her inner walls tightened around me. Arching her back, she bit into my shoulder, the sting from her fangs brought both of us over the edge. Crying out, I felt her being shifted. Helping Eric gently move her so she was on top of him; I moulded myself to their side and laid there, eyes closing as I felt her light move in my veins, growing bigger and bigger.

I must have dozed off for a little bit; because a roar woke me up; bolting upwards I see Eric hugging Sookie's limp body against his. Crawling to them, Sookie raised her head, her eyes almost completely void of colour.

"No, not yet." I begged, my chest tightening as my heart broke. They nodded to me; their eyes filled with pain.

"Eric, Godric," the soft voice breathed; barely audible even to our vampire ears as we both looked down to meet Sookie's sapphire, pain filled eyes. "I'm sorry," she chokes out, falling into a fitful cough that manages to bring bloody tears to my own eyes.

"No, don't talk, save your strength. We're gonna get you through this, you hear me? Don't you fucking give up on us, dammit!" Eric cried, desperation clear in his words as Sookie's pale hand reaches up to caress her Maker's blood stained face.

"I love you both," she whispered, looking between us, a forced smile forming over her face just before her body began to disintegrate before our very eyes.

"No!" Eric cried out, frantically trying to hold together the degenerating body as crimson tears were streaming down his face in earnest. The warrior's defeated form is shuddering as he proceeds to weep desolately and I pressed myself along his back, wrapping my arms around him tightly as we ensued to break down within my embrace.
