Yiniri toured me around the glam palace... It really makes me green with envy, it is unbelievably beautiful! The last thing that Yiniri wanted to show me was the room at the end of the topmost hall, which for me looked the most mysterious.
From fabulous kitchen, stunning bathroom, and astonishing bedroom it all ringed a fairy tale vibe to me... I just wished that they would let me live here and not in one of the ordinary houses, err... corals.
But seeing how the exterior and interior designs in this underwater castle is so spectacular, I doubt the fact that the coral homes lack style and prestige.
"What I am about to show you is highly confidential to us the Zarne... however, we have chosen to give you a special exception, seeing as how we never have foreign visitors. But... just try to tell this to others that aren't the Zarne, you will surely face the consequences." Yiniri informed me.
"Heh, do you seriously think I won't tell it to my friends..?" I sarcastically said.
Yiniri continued walking, "Hmm, then do you want these to plunge deep into you?" She glared at me.
"Eh?" I cautiously looked to my back only to find a thousand knives pointing at me... "W-w-wait..! I wasn't serious at what I said..!" I stuttered.
"Hm... I had a hunch you were fooling around, but to get things straight, I am serious when it comes to the consequences." She swiped her hands around and the knives disappeared. "Now," Yiniri opened the door dramatically, "Welcome to the 'Orb Room'!"
I took a peek... "Uhh, is this the famed room that you guys are hiding..? Seriously it consists of only a weird hand-looking stand that can hold something," I stepped closer to the podium below the stand, "sorry for my words, but compared to the other rooms, this one lacks that oomph, y'know?"
Yiniri held an orb out seeming to ignore my speech, "Do you recall this from earlier?"
I looked behind me and saw Yiniri holding a purplish-red orb. "Hmm..? Is this the item you and Tenorrha were talking about?"
"You really are alert... here I thought you were naive..."
"Hmph, just so you know... I am NOT NAIVE!" I blew my cheeks up.
"Hehehe, I am joking, anyway... This hand is meant to hold something." Yiniri said.
"Let me guess... is it the orb thingy?" I said matter-of-factly.
"Yeah, anyway do you have a slight clue of what this orb is?" Yiniri put the orb on the hand figure.
"It fits perfectly... hm, does it activate some fireworks or something?"
This orb seems to be a big deal to Yiniri and Tenorrha, maybe it is a celebratory activation device of some complicated mechanism.
"No, it is very important. You know the barrier that blocks us to reach each other right?" Yiniri asked.
"Yeah"
"Well, the barrier can block some physical and nonphysical things like us and sound waves from passing through but it cannot prevent light or radio waves from passing through." Yiniri explained.
"Oh... so what is this orb to do exactly?"
"Well, this is dubbed the "Broadcast Orb" for obvious reasons. This is our only way of communicating with the other people of Ritona." Yiniri smiled.
"Oh, so you guys do have a way of communicating!"
"Not exactly... only we the Zarne and the Azarla can communicate, this is because the other tribes are not capable of transmitting power through this orb. Only we, the summoners, and they, the creators, can make a constant supply of radio and light energy out of thin air to be used for communication."
"Wait what..? Who are the Azarla..? Creators..?" I, amid confusion, asked.
"As you know, we the Zarne are capable of summoning and have the element of water. All the other three tribes have a separate ability and element. The Azarla are endowed the ability of creating and bestowed upon with the element of earth." Yiniri stated.
"Wait, what is the difference between summoning and creating anyway..?"
"Well, first off, summoning means that you can summon anything that already exists; creating means that you can create something already existing or you can make something new," Yiniri pointed to the broadcast orb, "this orb was created by the Azarla's queen. She managed to create it in our piece of land, however, as compensation of crossing magic through the barrier, her age ceased to increase and she stayed young to this day, which she despises so much for reasons I will never understand..."
"Wow, this world sure is a mystery and wonder at the same time." I admired.
