Yiniri faced the orb, with an intent of doing something with it. She raised her hands around the orb, suddenly it lit up fiercely. Piercing my eyes with a radiant light.

"Kuh..!" I tried covering my eyes to prevent the glimmering shine from provoking my sight. "What is this... light?" I blindly turned to Yiniri.

"Oh sorry, I just turned the orb on by supplying it with a barrage of light and radio waves," She explained, still fixating her sight on the broadcast orb. "This light is basically a sign that I am still supplying a stable amount of light and radio waves. When this light fades, it means I have exhausted all my power."

"Oh... why would you basically risk your power for communicating?"

Yiniri continued, "Well, you heard of our conversation earlier right? Kcchk, about the strange power growing out from the barrier core? It is mandatory that everyone knows about this. This is, truth be told, only the second time we used this orb. Because not only does it require large amounts of magical energy, but it also lasts only about 10 minutes... at best."

I was about to say something when a projection suddenly appeared out of the orb. It was quite blurry and was very dark in color.

"Where is she? I need to talk to her ASAP because I am about to run out of power soon," Yiniri breathed deeply, "this consumption of energy would be at waste if she wouldn't ans-"

Someone with blue hair suddenly appeared on the screen, she had vibrant blue eyes, she had a transparent blue bow tied on her head, and she also wore a blue garment of sorts. What is with blue anyway!?

"Haah, took you long enough to respond..." Yiniri pursed her lips to prevent showing her awkward look.

"Oh... sorry about that, I was just looking at our terrace for any particular changes in the barrier." The blue-haired woman replied.

"Did you notice something unusual?" Yiniri asked back.

She placed her head on her hand, "Hmm... actually, I noticed a slight change in the core of the barrier. Its demeanor changed somewhat, I quite can't put my finger on it but it seems... strange." She looked to the side where there seemed to be a window judging from the light coming in from her side.

"Just so you know, we also noticed it," Yiniri reassured with a smile. "It isn't something we have ever experienced before so we still need answers as to what that truly is."

I was starting to get confused. I knew that Yiniri would explain all this to me later but-

SLAM!

Eh!? I looked to my back and saw a mermaid covered with seashell armor panting. I quickly ran up to her to tell if she was okay.

"Miss, are you okay?" I asked wih a concerned tone.

Her response to me was only breathless panting. I was starting to get really worried so I called Yiniri.

Yiniri gave me a look as to say for me not to bother her right now but as she saw the panting mermaid, she quickly ended their conversation and ran to her.

"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry, I kinda got carried away. Anyway, why are you here?" Yiniri interrogated, worry obvious in her features.

The mermaid hesitated, "Mrs. Yiniri, our warriors are now fighting against an unknown force of darkness! They are overwhelming us at the moment...haah, that is, without you and Mrs. Tenorrha," She put her hand to her chest and continued. "Please let your fight be with us..."

Yiniri was shocked, "Did you inform Tenorrha?" She asked with a pang of doubt.

"Haah, no... I couldn't find her anywhere your highness. So I decided to come for you first..."

Yiniri looked perturbed, "This is unusual. Not only are there unknown invaders in our private piece of land but they are also waging war against us?" She muttered under her breath.

I could sense that Tenorrha is very much needed right now so I decided to help, as if I have anything else to do, I cannot fight, I am powerless... so this is the least I can do.

"Yiniri," I tapped her shoulder making her glance at me. "I am going to find Tenorrha, you go aid them."

"...Right!" Yiniri quickly removed the broadcast orb from the hand statue and swam outside with the mermaid following close behind her.

Well, now what..? Where would Tenorrha be at this time? This is just wrong timing!

I composed myself and thought deeply... and then it came to me, our conversation from before Yiniri toured me around the palace, she mentioned fixing something at the... the basement!
