All of my life, I have been hiding in the shadows, lurking in the dark. I've never drawn attention to myself and I've never been interested nor involved in the drama at high school. Not your typical teenage girl, right? I certainly never was normal.
Today, it was June 18th, also known as the last day of sophomore year. Like most, I wanted to make it memorable although I had almost been kicked out multiple times. But I didn't have a party. Oh, no, I didn't have anyone to invite.
However, I did manage to burn a house down. Personally, I think it's fun. I have weird powers that i think only extend to fire, and find great satisfaction in burning things, so there you have it. I burned the house down. Once an arsonist, always an arsonist. I can make the fire as hot or strong or fast-burning as I wish to, but I can't make it stop.
Nobody knew it was me, well, except one person. An idiot by the name of Leo Valdez witnessed the whole thing and knew exactly what to do in this slightly unusual situation. Call the police? No. Tell his clique? No. Blackmail me? On point. I guess his little mommy forgot to tell him that if you play with fire, you're bound to get burned. And I can burn someone pretty badly, both literally and figuratively, mentally and physically. I know exactly how to make a person fall apart. And I'm not afraid to use that information. I'm the most dangerous person I know.
The only thing was, I didn't know exactly who this Leo Valdez was.
And he didn't know anything about me.
I was Aina Kiyashka, and my goal was to find out exactly what I was.
Do ya like it? Huh? Huh? This is my first story so give me some feedback please! Constructive critisism only.
