Leo's POV

It was silent as me and Aina walked through the forest. She didn't have very good people skills, which was just another hint that she was my sister. But I would've been happier if she wasn't because DAYUM, she was hot. I know that I seem like a forever alone guy, it's true, but I flirt shamelessly with any girl I can. And before I find out she's my sister, I want to flirt with her as much as possible because SHE WAS EXTREMELY HOT. I'm going to say that again. SHE WAS HOT. She probably wasn't my sister though, because even though I will never admit it to anyone, our father wasn't the most good looking of men. We didn't normally have good looks. But if she wasn't my sister, the only god or godess's daughter she could be was Hecate. Because she hadn't shown any mechanical talent yet.

"So, where are we going? You said it was in Long Island, but I don't exactly know what that is. I'm kinda stuck in the middle of nowhere."

"Oh, no," I replied. "You live in a TINY forest just between Queens and Manhattan really close to the river. So, no, you don't live in the middle of nowhere, you live in the middle of Long Island and Manhattan. Aka Queens and Brooklyn, so if we catch a cab, we'll get there in no time."

I didn't know why I was being so serious. I was normally cracking jokes all the time, fidgeting, doing whatever a joke-loving ADHD Hestapheus child would normally be doing. But she was magical. Somehow she managed to make me less crazy. It was weird and unsettling, but eerily calming. And WHY AM I USING SUCH BIG LETTERS?!?! It's really weird. Wow, she's really affecting me.

We walked in silence for a couple more miles until she asked another question. "Are we here yet?" I was struck surpriesd. She didn't seem like the impatione one, just the one to smile creepily at you until you die. And then I started becoming paranoid. Thoughts like that made me suspect that she was a human impersonation of Gaea. Pieces of evidence just whirled into my mind. I began thinking about how naive I would be if Gaea were here to kill me and I didn't eve know it. I banished those thoughts out of my head and decided to give her a clean slate. Not guilty until proven.

Finally, we reached a busy street with just as many cabs as there were cars. We both stuck our thumbs out and soon enough, a cab came by, waiding for business. We got in the car and I told him the directions. He subtly winked at Aina (that's how hot she was) and I audibly cracked my knuckles. He glared at me and started driving.

"Well," I said to Aina. "This'll definitely go by much faster now. We'll be there in about ten to fifteen minutes." We waited in an awkward silence in the cab until he pulled out in from to Half-Blood Hill. "So," I said. "This is it!"

She squinted at the hill and stared as long as she could but obviously couldn't see anything. "Are you crazy? There's nothing there! That's just a hill!"

A soon as she said that, an airplane touched down in front of the hill. A man with sunglasses and a nice face walked beside a man with sideburns and a beard and hair that looked like small horns, almost. "Hello," said the man in sunglasses. "Do you happen to know a girl named Aina Kiyaska?"

"That would be me, sir," she walked up to him and smiled. "And this is Leo. He's my friend." I spontaneously burst on fire and the guy with horns grew claws out of his knuckles, coming out ever so slowly. I gulped and extinguished my fire. This was going to be an interesting day.
