Viktor takes a moment to awaken. He runs at his eyes, wiping sleep away. It's a bit aggravating, to be woke by a message at eight in the morning. It is, however, a blessing that the sender had been Yuuri Katsuki. He grabs his computer from its place on the floor, where he had left it after talking with Yuuri the prior night, and opens Skype. He clicks the call button. As he waits on Yuuri's answer, Viktor turns and opens the curtains hanging from the window behind his bed. It's bright. A bit too bright.
Yuuri quickly grabs his computer, rushing to open Skype. He's tired after helping his mother all day, but the possibility to talk to Viktor has him energetic once more. He fixes his glasses atop his nose as he waits on the call. As soon as his icon appears on the screen, Yuuri clicks the 'accept' button.
"Hello again, Yuuri! It's nice to see you again." Yuuri can't speak. All he can see is Viktor's bare chest. He's shirtless. Viktor smiles at Yuuri, eyes glued to the pair of defined collarbones and bare shoulder exposed by the low neckline of his shirt. He's adorable.
"H-hello, Viktor." Yuuri doesn't know what else to say. What can he say? He's staring at the handsomest boy he's ever seen. He's tongue tied.
"How has your day been? Is it too late over there? You don't have to stay up to talk to me," Viktor says. Yuuri shakes his head, a few strands of dark hair falling into his eyes.
"No. It's only six. I mainly just helped around the onsen today. We had a lot of people come in today." Yuuri huffs, running a hand through his hair. Viktor takes the opportunity to stare at him. He's beautiful.
"What's an onsen," Viktor asks him.
"Oh. It's a hot spring. Like where you go and soak. We also offer rooms and dining, and the such. A lot of people stop by to soak in the hot springs or to get something to eat." Yuuri fixes his collar and covers his shoulder, much to Viktor's disappointment.
"That sounds cool. Is it tough, to work there," Viktor asks.
"Not really. It's only hard when I have to clean. Foreigners can be very messy sometimes." Viktor smiles as if he knows.
"What's the name of the hot springs," Viktor asks. Yuuri looks at him curiously.
"Why? Thinking about visiting?" He smiles. Viktor chuckles, as if caught. Yuuri finds himself hoping that Viktor can visit him. To see such a man in person would be ethereal.
"Not exactly. I mean, it would be nice. Just wanted to know so if I ever happen to come to Japan, I'll know a place to stay." Viktor doesn't want to be caught. He's thought about visiting the beautiful raven, multiple times even. But each time he's reminded that he doesn't have enough money, nor the time, to do so.
"I'll make sure my mom knows that you're welcome here." Yuuri smiles, but it falters after a moment. Viktor instantly becomes concerned. Did he overstep?
"Hey. What's wrong?" Yuuri glances down at his lap.
"It's just...I was just thinking about if you did come here. And then I realized it's impossible," Yuuri murmurs.
"Why do you think it's impossible? I told you I'm saving money to see you. So it's not impossible." Viktor flicks his platinum bangs out of his eyes.
"I thought you were joking about that. Why would you want to see me anyhow?" Yuuri bites at his bottom lip. Viktor scoffs.
"Why wouldn't I? You're adorable and funny and mesmerizing and talented and adorable. How could I not want to see you," Viktor asks incredulously. Yuuri blushes, rolling his eyes playfully. He shifts, causing the collar of his shirt to fall down his shoulder once again.
"You're exaggerating," he says.
"I most certainly am not, krasavets. Why would I lie to you?" Viktor smiles. Yuuri only blushes more, covering his face with his hands.
"W-what does that mean? Krasa— whatever you said," Yuuri asks in a shy voice. Viktor chuckles.
"It means beautiful in Russian." The raven haired boy lets out a squeak of embarrassment, covering his entire face from Viktor view. How did Viktor get lucky enough to meet this boy? It's hard to believe that a wrong message brought him such a beauty.
"That sounds almost...romantic," Yuuri says, uncovering his face slightly. Viktor shrugs his shoulders.
"Well maybe that's how I want to be with you. Romantic," Viktor says.
