Unknown POV

I watch as Hazel walks into the doctors' office. Before going in she stops and looks around. She turns around quickly and runs in the office.

I let out a soft laugh, "The last time I saw you was when we were in high school." I continue to sit there while looking at her through her window.

Minutes later I see Ian walking in the office. I pull out my phone and sigh, "Looks like I have to report this to the boss man." I send them a text and look through the window. Why are you here Ian?

Hazel POV

I'm looking through my schedule when all of a sudden Mari knocks on my door. "Ian Cooper is here to see you for an appointment." I look at her with confusion on my face, "I'm not supposed to see him until next week."

Before she could say anything Ian comes in and shows me his hand. "Yeah I think we both know that, but considering the condition my hand is in right now, we think I need to see you now." I roll my eyes and let out a long sigh.

I stand up and he heads to the examination room, I follow behind him with papers in my hand. He sits down on the bed and I lean against the counter, "Please tell me why do you have socks on your hand and not your cast." He holds his hand up and shrugs his shoulders, "I took it off and I hurt myself yesterday."

I start taking things out for his new cast and groan, "Why did you take your cast off in the first place?!" He holds his hands up and arches his eyebrow, "I don't think a doctor should yell at their patients." I cross my arms and glare at him, "Just tell me before I end up chocking you."

Before he could say anything someone opens the door. We both look towards the door and see a kid peek in. The kid walks in and looks at the floor. "Who's the kid? You have a kid?!"

"No, I don't have a kid!! Why the hell would you even asking that?!" I say as I walk up to Aaron, he has two sheets of paper in his hand. "Aaron, what are you doing here? Where's your cast?" He continues to stare at the floor while gripping the two sheets of paper in his hand.

I hear Ian jump off the bed and walk towards us. Aaron doesn't look up, but he does flinch when he sees Ian's shadow. Ian picks him up and sits him on the bed. He sits in the chair beside the bed and sighs, "She can't help you unless you say something. Help yourself by telling her what's going on."

Aaron continues to look at the floor, seconds later he hands me the two sheets of paper in his hand. I take it and read what's on it.

• After taking my medicine in the morning my dad came into my room and pulled me by my hurt arm and hit it against the wall.

• After lunch, my dad once again took my arm and slammed it against the wall. I took my medicine after he was done beating me instead of before.

• My dad had a woman over so he didn't do anything to me after I took my medicine for the night. The pain from the other times was still there so the medicine did no good for me.

I scan through the rest and angry tears start forming in my eyes. I turn to look at Aaron, "How did you get here?" Ian's eyes widen, "What the hell?! Why are you crying?!"

I throw the papers at him and he reads it. First confusion was showing on his face and now another emotion was on his face I couldn't read.

I look back at Aaron, "Aaron, I need you to answer me. I can't help you unless you talk to me." He continues to stare at the floor and I start wrapping his arm back up. "Did you walk here?" I look at Ian, "What are you saying?"

His eyes are cold, like that time at the event. "Answer me. Did you walk here?" Aaron slowly nods his head and my eyes widen. Ian hands Aaron the papers, "Write your address down. You do know it, right?"
