"I don't remember Petey looking as good as his dad." Chesa said.

We were on our way to the oracle, a little cave not too far from the big house, where our camp oracle, Ben McCaffrey was waiting for us.

You see, Ben is the son is Meg McCaffrey and some average Caucasian mortal. But when he arrived at camp, Apollo came not long after, declaring him blessed with the sight of the oracle.

I snorted. "I don't remember Peter ever mentioning he was Percy Jackson."

Walking beside me, Lyanna shrugged. "Not that crazy when you think of it though, it all adds up."

"Yes well I'm no math genius, so please, explain."

Keeping her pace, Lya let our a huff of breath before saying, "I mean no ones ever really found his body when we was supposedly dead. Then he shows up in one of the last places you'd ever find a demigod, and offers to train us. Plus, not to mention he always brought blue food when we'd train."

We lapsed into silence after, mulling over her words, and soon enough we stood in front the the Oracle caves entrance. Which was just a purple shower curtain.

"Alright 'nuff of the talk." Chesa said beside me, sounding determined.

"We weren't even talking." I murmured. But hey, I'm not gonna be the one to take away from her fun.

She lifted her hand and tore open the purple curtain to the cave.

"FEROX'S!"

Behind the door was Ben, smiling down at us, happy as can be. Like he wasn't going to give us our death sentences.

"Come in, come in!"

He had an accent I was familiar with, but I couldn't quite place my finger on what it was. Was it Brooklyn? Jersey?

I was quickly snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a small hand enveloping mine.

Expecting it to be Chesa I look up. Instead I saw Lya giving me a sheepish smile.

"Sorry," she said, turning red. "I'm just nervous."

I gave her a warm smile, and reassuringly squeezed her hand. "Don't apologize."

I mean yeah, Lyanna could be pretty intimidating whenever she trained, but really, she's just one big over-emotional dork. I guess she keeps it up out of old habit. Raising me and Ches couldn't have been easy in a place where sex-traffickers and war lords were in every corner.
