Now, to say that I believe every word of the complete and utter bs they were spewing right now would be lying. I mean, yeah, I've been an accomplice to many of the Ferox's performances.
However, lying in front of two gods about the Oracle was a whole nother level.
Of course I didn't say anything, but I couldn't help the doubtful look and playful wink I sent their way.
"My, in all my years—and that's a lot of years—have I ever heard a prophecy like that." Poseidon said, shaking his head in disbelief.
How stupid ca—
"Indeed. Though, I'd like to remind how much trouble and disorder Percy attracted." Chiron replied in complete agreement.
Sweet Hera, no wonder gods need our help all the time.
Rose Erso, the head of the Demeter cabin, nervously raised her had. "Er—we should begin with deciding who gets to go with the Ferox's on the quest."
Poseidon shook his head. "No way, three is a scared number for quests, and Olympus in general. It's safer if we keep it as three"
"Nope," Lyanna stood up from her seat and looked intensely at Poseidon. "If we're gonna do this, we as much help as we can get."
I had to hand it to Lya for being able to hold her ground against the earth shaker himself. Call Lyanna Ferox what you want, but you can't call her a coward.
"No. The risk is too high—"
"Let us at least choose one person each. Only six of us will go," Ysa begged.
"Yeah, plus if we have two groups of threes, isn't that like, double the luck?" Chesa piped in.
Some raised an eyebrow at Chesa's logic and other quietly chuckled. However, Ysa, being the mastermind genius he is (that was sarcastic if you didn't catch it), added onto the idea.
"Wouldn't it be better to have three groups of threes? That'd be triple the luck and tripling the luck and there's another three right ther-"
"Enough! We are definitely not sending nine demigods," Chiron swiftly shut the idea down, leaving the twins aw-ing in disappointment, "Dionysus, any thoughts?"
Mr. D, who hadn't said anything up until now, cleared his throat and spoke up. "I think that since we are making my children do this, they should be permitted to choose who accompanies them."
