The Date

"Thanks, and be ready at 8, I'm taking you out" I smiled, and walked to my car. I buckled Tay in, and got in the driver's seat. 

"So who's watching Tay?" Quan asked.

"My mom, she got off at 6" I pulled out the driveway, and headed down Melgrove street. 

 I pulled up to my mom's house, and the guys, and I got out. We walked in, and my mom was talking to Quan and Zay's mom, well Zay's aunt.

 "Hey mama, wassup Auntie Kasey, Aunt Marie" I hugged them and took Tay upstairs. I laid him in his crib, and kissed his forehead. I closed his door, and walked to my room. It's 7:15. I showered, washed my face, and brushed my teeth. 

"Where you going?" I turned around the guys were there. 

"I'm taking LeiLani out" I walked to my closet, and pulled out a nice outfit. It was a Black and Silver Polo Button Down, Grey True Religion, and my Black Timberlands. I added a Silver Rolex, and a Silver Chain. I put in White Studs, and sprayed some Polo Cologne on. "How I Look?" I turned around while brushing my waves. Their jaws were dropped.

"Damn my nigga, you going all out" Quan exclaimed.

"Not Yet, where you taking her, Olive Garden or some shit?" Zay asked. I shook my head. 

"I'm taking her to that new Italian Restaurant in Santa Monica" 

"I told you, you falling for Ol' Girl" I shook my head again. 

"No I ain't" We all walked downstairs, and my mom and them looked at me.

"Ma, tell Lonte, he falling for this girl" Quan asked his mom.

"Where you going Alonte?" My mom asked coming out the kitchen. 

"I'm taking this girl from school out" She shook her head and walked over to me.

"I need a name, cause you ain't take Taya out, so if you doing this for this girl she must be real special" I tried to hide my smile.

"Her name is Leilani" 

"Lastname?"

"Turner" 

"Okay, well be careful, and when you come back you're cleaning your room, this is not your house, you do not have a maid" 

"He does at his place" I glared at Zay. 

"Well this isn't his place, and get you some business" his mom popped him. 

"Well I gotta go, bye ma, love you, see y'all" I kissed my mom's cheek, and threw up the peace sign. I grabbed my Range keys, and drove to Harlem's place.

 "Is it too much?" I asked the girls. 

"Nope, you look cute" I looked in the mirror at my reflection. I had on a Black Long-Sleeved Dress that clung to my body. It had a low v-cut down the front. I also had on Black Red Bottoms, and my hair was straight. I had on a Gold Watch, and Gold Necklace. The girls and I bought ourselves dresses a few months back. 

"When you get back, if you come back, tell us everything" CeCe smirked. I laughed.

"Have Fun, your ride's here" I inhaled and exhaled. I grabbed my Chanel wallet. I hugged the girls, and Malcolm, and walked out to Lonte's car. He held open the door, and I got in, and thanked him.

"You.........look............Beautiful" I smiled and put my head down. 

"Thanks, you look handsome" He popped his collar.

"Well y'know" I mugged him. "I'm kidding, thank you Leilani" I laughed.

"You can call me Lani, if you want" 

"Thank God, cause you got one long ass name ma" 

"Yeah, I know, so where we going?"

"Can't tell you, but you'll like it.....I think" I turned on the radio and 'Drunk In Love' was playing. Beyonce need to choose. One minute she Crazy in Love, now her ass in Drunk In Love....Like bitch. I started singing, and playing on my phone. 

 We pulled up to the restuarant and my jaw dropped. 

 "This place is expensive, are you sure?" I asked getting out.

"Girl, it's coo, I really need you to know how sorry I am" He held the door open as we walked in. 

"Reservations?" The waitress asked.

"Yes, Warren" She scanned her book, and let us pass the rope. She guided us to our table, and was al googley-eyed with Alonte....suprisingly he wasn't he paying attention to her.

"So what can I start you guys off with?" 

"Do you have Sprite?" I asked.

"Yes, and for you Mr. Warren?" 

"Uh, Coke" She nodded and walked off. "So you like it?"

"Yes, but what's the reason you brought me on this date?" He sat up and fixed his shirt. 

"Well yesterday after I made that joke, and you showed me what happened to you, I felt bad, I did some things to try and get my mind off of it, and it only made it worse, even this morning I was thinking bout you...Don't take this the wrong way, but I have never in my life been in a relationship, just fucking"

"What about Tay's mother?" He rolled his eyes.

"Man, her hoeing ass, I hit that shit 2 and the second time she drugged me" 

"Wow, that desperate huh?" 

"Yep, but I got something good from it, so I ain't tripping" I nodded.

"This is personal, but it's been bugging me.....Did your sister ever get beaten?" It was my turn to roll my eyes.

"No, My dad was abusive to my mom, and one day I called the cops, my mom got upset with me for it, and started hitting me, every little thing I got in trouble for, even if it wasn't my fault, then my sister left for college, and everything got worse" I sipped my soda.

"What you mean?" 

"My step-dad started raping me.....until I gutted his ass, then he beat me even worse, but he stopped raping me, I just started thinking of it as life" I shrugged, and the waitress came back. 

"May I take your order?" We ordered and she walked off.

"You may not believe me, but I mean this, You don't deserve that shit, I mean I throw girls out my crib, and shit, but no female deserves that type of shit" I blushed.

 After we finished eating, We drove around the hood, and I pulled up to Harlem's house. 

 "Night Lani"

"Night Lonte, and thanks" I opened her door and let her out. I walked her to the door, and she turned to me. "I had a good time, I mean I ain't been surrounded by so many white folks but y'know everything else was on point" I laughed.

"Glad you enjoyed it" She was bout to walk in, but I pulled her back and kissed her. "have a nice night ma" I got back in my car and sat back. This girl doing something to me. I started the car up, and drove back to my ma's house. I walked in, and up to my room, I changed, and fell back on my bed.

"So how was it?" I looked up and my mom was walking in with a wide awake Tay.

"Great, and Tay likes her" My mom's eyes widened when I said that.

"She met Tay?" I nodded.

"Earlier, when the guys and I went over her and her friend's house to study" She handed me Tay and smiled. "What?"

"I think you found the right girl Lonte" I laid him on me, and shook my head.

"Maybe" 

"Well you two need sleep, night" She kissed my forehead, and Tay's, then walked out.

"Lil Man, I think Daddy's found the right chick, for me and you" I rubbed his head, and we both knocked out.
