Getting Comfortable

I woke up to Tay hitting me in my face. I looked over and saw Lani sleeping with Tay snuggled up with her.

I furrowed my brows and looked at my phone. It was 7:00. I walked downstairs since I stayed at my mom's last night.

"Ma, how the hell did Lani get over here last night?" I asked sitting at the island.

"She rode the bus"

"Through 3 cities?" I asked.

"Yeah"

"Why? I could have picked her up, I told her to call me if she needed a ride"

"She asked how you were doing and I told her how Tay kept you up, so she rode the bus so you could sleep" I sighed and calmed down.

Lani has to ride through South Central and two other cities to get here. I don't want anything happening to her so I tell her to calm me when she wants to come over so I know she's okay.

"Come on and help me cook" I washed my hands and started helping my mom. "Lonte, I like this girl, so please don't do anythinf stupid"

"Why I gotta be the one to mess it up?"

"Do you really want me to answer that?" I shook my head. "Okay"

I walked upstairs to wake Lani up. I walked in my room and Tay was holding on the end of his crib.

"Yo Lani what you doing?"

"Good, you're here, go stand behind Tay" I was confused but did so. I called my mom.

"Alright come on Tay Tay" Lani stood in front of us distance apart.

Tay started stumbling towards her.

"Come on lil man" My lil nigga starting to walk.

"Go ahead Tay" He started walking and tumbled into Lani's arms.

"And I got it all camera" My mom beamed. She called me in the hallway and we watched Lani interact with Tay.

"Who's the King of world?" Lani tickled Tay and he laughed. "That's right, Lani's lil man is cause he learned how to walk today, not let's mark it" She picked him up, grabbed a sharpie, picked Tay up, and they scribbled Black on the 30th.

"I don't care if y'all break up over and over, you two were made for each other" My mom whispered.

"Mama, we only knew each other for like a week"

"But y'all have a strong bond" I nodded. "But go ahead and get dressed, y'all need to be out in 20"

"Yes Ma'm" I kissed her cheek and walked in my room.

"I'll go feed and dress Tay, then we can leave"

"Aight" She smiled and walked out. I walked in my closet and thought about today's outfit.

I picked out a White Tee, Fitted Levi Jeans, and my Concord 11's. I added my Gucci belt, All Black Snapback and Snake Bite Lip Piercing.

I walked downstairs and finally took in Lani's outfit. She had on a Purple Fitted Crop Top, White Skinny Jeans, and Her Grape 6's.

"Ma, you ready?" I asked as I stood behind her.

"Yeah" She bent down to put Tay down and I bit my lip. "See you later lil man" She kissed his cheeks.
