Blaire and Sadie:
"You don't even know half the stuff I have planned for us to do!" Sadie exclaims as the two of them make it up the stairs and into Sadie's recently cleaned bedroom.
Blaire looks around, "It's different."
Sadie smiles. "Yeah, I grew up. The last time we ever hung out we were the scared freshman of Berryville, and now we're almost juniors! It's crazy how fast time goes by."
"Do you think Cody is okay?" Blaire nervously asks, sitting on the corner of Sadie's bed blanketed by mint green sheets and a baby blue comforter.
"I don't know. He's been missing for two days now." Sadie says joining Blaire on the bed. "Besides, both his parents believe he's dead so they aren't even putting any effort into finding him."
"Is that true?" Blaire asks, confused at why someone's parent would give up so fast. "If it was my kid, I'd be trying to find them 24/7 until a body or something is found."
"You know how Cody's parents are. They really never gave a shit about anything he did. That's why he was always available to hang out!" Sadie snarkily remarks.
"Well," Blaire begins to say before stopping to think for a second, "If his parents aren't making an effort to look for him, then why don't we?"
"What do you mean?"
Blaire pulls out her phone and looks up the report every student in her school had read. "Cody Granger, last seen wearing a green collar shirt and blue jeans on the corner of Main and North Street. We could start there and look for something."
Sadie chuckles, "You want us, to look for him? That's impossible."
"It's only impossible if we don't try."
Sadie sits with her arms crossed and Blaire continuously tries to persuade her.
"Come on," Blaire begs, grabbing Sadie's hands. "Don't do it for me, do it for Cody."
