"I'm not going, Lena."

"Like you have a choice."

"Lena for gods sake! I don't want to go!"

"Bring your friends. At 7:30."

"Wait!-"

She jumps out of the car walks towards her college. My grip tightens on the steering wheel as I firmly press my foot down and race the wind. My windows are rolled down, and I take a deep breath of fresh air. I can't go to that stupid concert. There'll be too much people..cameras...judgement. Oh goodness.

Lena is only going for her friend's birthday. Why the hell am I getting dragged into this? I see the school from away along with Hailee's hand waving into the air. Francesca is talking to someone, but I still can't recognize the silhouette beside her.

I park my car a few meters away from school, and get out to fully meet the fresh air. Today was sunny, too sunny that my face looked a ghost's. I skip towards my friends and sweetly greet everyone. I start telling everyone about that concert Lena told me about earlier when I finally recognized the silhouette beside Francesca.

"Miles? Weren't you in China?" I ask, shocked by the fact travelled half of the world to come here. Miles is Francesca's older brother, and he is majoring in photography. He got a scholarship to China to snap some awesome photos for Chinese museums. He had caramel eyes with messy brown hair. His face was clean of facial hair, and his jaw was defined.

He let out a small chuckle and stretches his arm for me to shake it, "Sike," then he goes into a dab. Fran smacks his abdomen with the back of her back full-of-rings hand, and Miles moans in pain, "Don't. Ever. Dab. Again," she scolds.

Hailee and I chuckle yet Hailee's lasts longer and becomes louder, "S-sorry!" She says through giggles.

"What's got you so giggly jiggly today?" Fran asks after she pushes her brother away from her side. Hailee laughed the question off, but abruptly stopped when we heard a loud cheer from behind the school. We all exchange glances and instinctively walk towards the noise.

"J...jo....ule! Jou..le! Joule! JOULE!" The sounds get higher and louder as we move towards the questionable sounds and cheers. Are Joule bullying people again? Francesca was the first to react as she marched towards Joule.

And I was right. Joule was bullying someone, but not anyone. They were bullying that girl from the corridor. The girl I saved...I guess?

She was standing in the middle of a wide circle of the cheerleaders of Joule. She looked like she was about to break into sobs, but she stood straight. Head high, shoulders up. Bravery was defining her.

Francesca pushes the group of barbies from her way and she now has a tight grip on the girl's hand. All of the eyes of Joule jerk at her, and Francesca lets out a shout, "Could you all get a life instead of bullying new people, and waving your asses in the air?!"

We three have an awkward loud laugh before I cleared my throat. Fran seems to have scared the girls as all of the girls remain quiet. Some walked away, some stayed. After a couple of minutes, everyone leaves, and Fran angrily marches back with the poor girl in her hands.

"What's your name?" Hailee asks out of the blue. I don't think she still notices me, but when she does, she smiles at me, blushes, and lowers her head. I've noticed that this girl blushes easily from all attention around her, by attention I mean, Hailee, Fran, Miles, me...and the small group of students surrounding us.

"Avery...," she shyly says as she pulls Fran into a hug, "I didn't know what I'd do if you didn't come." She silently thanks her.

"You'd cry, pft," Miles says and well all instantly give him our dirtiest glares ever, "Not funny, Miles," we all say in unison then Miles bites his lower lip.

After a lot of dirty stares given to Miles, we invite Avery to the party tonight. A party away from Joules and their shit at the very least. We all talk for a while and discover Avery has many similarities between us.

When the bell decides to ring, I walk Avery to her Geometry class, making sure Joule doesn't stop her, and back to my Vocal Music class. The gruesome thoughts of me are now pushed into the back of my head as I enter the class and hear the amazing harmony.
