Ivory's Pov

I don't know why but after waking up from the weirdest dream ever I have felt nothing but the need to be by Rook's side at all times. It's nothing like how my brother, Broach and Willow feel about each other. They love each other and all but they aren't this attached and possessive.

When I saw Rook and the huge white stag, I now know as Henrig, walking away when my brother and his mate rushed up to me to bombard me with questions, my heart literally felt like it was being torn apart, the other half trailing along behind her.

It's strange, I've never been one to feel much of anything thing towards anyone yet here I am pacing back and forth waiting for Rook to get back from her daily hunt. A twig snaps somewhere in the forest and I perk up, searching the tree line, Rook steps out from among the trees dragging an elk lazily beside her by the throat. She drops it before looking at me and tilting her head curiously, the gesture alone makes my heart skip several beats, she shakes out her thick coat and gives me a carefree smile.

"Hiya Ivory." Her voice is cheerful in a greeting sense yet still husky.

I gulp and paw at the ground timidly, "Hi....Rook."

Rook picks up the elk again and trots by me to where Broach and Willow lay with the pups, her tail wagging furiously.

Did I do something wrong?

A whine almost escapes my lips when something relatively heavy yet gentle presses down on my back, when I look over my shoulder I find Rook's head resting exhaustedly between my shoulder blades. She notices me looking back at her and lifts her head from my back with a small smile.

"Sorry, I got really tired all of a sudden and you looked comfy." Rook takes a few steps away from me and flops down in the shade with a big sigh.

I hesitate not sure if I should leave her be or not, picking the latter I walk over to her and nuzzle her cheek with my nose. She looks up at me, her eyes barely open.

"It's ok, here use me as a head rest if you want."

I lay beside her, my side pressed against hers. With a warm smile I lay my head down to rest on top of her huge paws, not long after I feel Rook's head once again rest between my shoulders flooding me with warmth. I can feel my own eyes growing weary but just before they close I catch sight of Willow's smirk.

Relatively short, I know. Sorry guys but I do have another part almost done!
