This is home

So this could be considered as part two of my latest one shot which is gender reveal. This was also requested by DaughterofRiverSong. Thanks again for the request!! Hope you enjoy.

The whole Team Arrow including Sara and Quentin sat at the waiting room of the hospital. Thea kept moving patting on her lap. Sara bit her nails pacing around the room. "Why are you all so nervous?" Asked Diggle. "Well, Oliver isn't here yet, Laurel is about to have the baby, and I can't stand the thought of her delivering the little creature on her own" Replied Thea. "He'll be here! I spoke to him, he says he is on his way" Added Felicity. "Alright that's it, I'm going in" Sara walked towards her sister's room. Felicity took out her phone and dialed Oliver, again.

"Hello?" Oliver asked through the phone.
"Oliver where the hell are you?" She Asked.
"I already told you I'm on my way!" He Exclaimed.
"Your wife is about to deliver that baby and you are where again?"
"On my way! There's traffic! And I'm pretty far away"
"Tell me a specific location!"
"Well I'm almost inside Star City"
"Almost? You're not even in the city??"
"No, I know I picked the wrong day to leave town"
"Oh my God, Okay hurry up please!!" She Yelled.
Oliver hung up and ran towards his car, he wasn't being completely honest with Felicity, the truth is, he wasn't even on his way yet.

Sara rubbed Laurel's head while Laurel tried to relax on the bed. "Do you think he got tired of me and just, ran away?" She Asked Sara, "No. how could you think that? He loves you Laurel believe me" Laurel sighed. "Then why isn't he here?" She Asked looking at Sara desperately. Sara simply shrugged. "He'll be here, what kind of dad would miss the birth of his child?" Sara stroke Laurel's messy hair. Laurel just looked down hoping he'll just show up in that door. Sara gave her a kiss on the head and hugged her.

Oliver tried to turn on the car but it wouldn't turn on, he tried and tried and it wouldn't turn on. "Damn It!" He Yelled hitting the wheel. He took a deep breath as he called Felicity.

Felicity hung up looking worried. "What happened?" Asked Thea. "Oliver was not on his way yet, he was about to be but the car wouldn't turn on, he needs a taxi now" Felicity explained. They heard a loud groan and knew that was Laurel. Then Sara came out, "it's time" she said and they all looked at each other. "Oliver is not even on his way" Felicity said sadly, Sara looked at Laurel who was breathing heavily. "Call him and tell him to be prepared for a premium kick in the ass" she said and went back inside.

Oliver paced as he waited for the taxi. "Heard you need a taxi" Said a voice behind him. Oliver turned and couldn't help but let out a relieved sigh. "I can offer you a free ride in the fastest taxi that has ever existed by the fastest man alive" Barry said with a proud grin. "You really are a life saver Barry" and just in seconds they disappeared.

"Alright push!" Exclaimed Sara, Laurel shook her head. "He isn't here yet!" She managed to say with her face crunched up in pain. "He can't miss this" She Added. "I'm sorry Laurel, but he will have to miss this" a tear came out from Laurel's eye and Sara wiped it away. "Alright Miss Lance keep pushing" Said the doctor. Laurel groaned as she pushed. "I swear Oliver will regret ever knowing me when he gets here" Sara commented. "I'm here and I still don't regret it" Oliver said as he appeared in a Flash. The doctor's eyes widened. And Laurel just let out a relieved and exhausted sigh. Oliver ran towards her, he took her hand and rubbed her head. "I'm here now. I'm here, now let's meet our baby girl" she smiled. "How did you get here so fast Mr.Queen?" Asked the Doctor. He just laughed. Then Laurel started pushing again. She squeezed his hands tightly and kept pushing until she heard it, the cry. Her baby's cry, she relaxed and laid back in the bed smiling while Oliver walked to see the baby. He smiled looking at his daughter, then the doctors took the baby to wash him and cover him. Oliver looked at Laurel proudly and kissed her in the head, Laurel smiled at him and then slapped him in the face. "Ow! What was that for?" He Asked. "You almost missed it Ollie!" She Exclaimed, he kneeled besides her and shook his head, "there is no such thing that would make me miss this, there was no way I would miss the birth of my child, the beginning of a new era in my life, I couldn't miss being here holding your hand while you give birth to the next Queen" he tucked her hair behind her ear and she smiled with tears on her eyes, then the doctors brought them their baby, Oliver carried her first. He was stunned, the little girl had the most beautiful and gigantic blue eyes, her chubby hands and feet made him smile, he carried her with one hand and rubbed the baby's cheeks with the other, Laurel watched him. She couldn't help but notice his eyes filling up with tears. Oliver took the girl's hand and then the girl squeezed his finger with her hand, squeezing tightly and that's when he finally felt it, that's when he finally felt like he was a dad now. "Ollie?" Oliver looked over at Laurel. "Is everything okay? Is there something wrong with her?" She Asked getting concerned, Oliver shook his head once while a tear rolled down his cheek, "she is perfect Laurel" he handed the baby to Laurel and Laurel gasped, she carried her close to her chest as she didn't want to let go. Oliver kissed her on the head for a long time. They just stood there looking at their daughter smiling.

They all sat down in the waiting room waiting for Oliver to come out with news. Roy looked over at Thea, "is everything alright?" He asked her. "I don't know, maybe it's just me being here or seeing all these things but-" she sighed and Roy lifted his eyebrows. "I want a baby" she looked over at him. "We talked about it already, Thea we aren't even married yet" he said, "I know. I just want to know, do I have a future with you?" He smiled looking down. "Of course we do, Missis Harper"  Thea laughed and they kissed and then Oliver came out of the room. They all stood up. "So? How did it go?" Oliver took a deep breath and smiled, "Great! It was great! She is perfect" everyone smiled. "Well when can we see her?" Asked Thea, "she is in the room with all the other babies are while Laurel gets some rest" Thea quickly walked towards the room with the babies.

"She looks like an Olivia" commented Thea, "I like Dinah" Added Sara. "How about Moira?" Proposed Roy, "it's pretty but not for a little girl that looks like an Olivia" Replied Thea. Diggle laughed. "Finding names it's hard" he said. "Yeah tell me about it" Said Quentin. "Talking about names, Where is Laurel's room?" He Asked, they all pointed to the room.

Quentin walked by Laurel's door, in the window he saw her sleeping in the bed with Oliver's arm wrapped around her, he stroke her hair and kissed her in the forehead. Quentin smiled and remembered that day when Laurel was born, he was happy for her.

"I love you Ollie" Laurel whispered, he smiled, "I love you too" he answered. "Why were you late?" She Asked, he took a deep breath. "You'll find out when we get out of here" she smiled. "And what are we naming her?". Oliver shrugged. "You know Thea has been proposing for us to call her...". "Olivia, I know, she said it every day" Oliver laughed. They kissed and Laurel went back to sleep.

3 days later...
Oliver opened the door of the house, Laurel had her eyes covered. "Where are we Ollie?" She kept asking, Oliver just smiled. He led her to a room. "Ready?" He Asked And she nodded. He removed the cover from her eyes. She gasped as she saw what it was. A beautiful decorated room with a crib and a cradling chair met her eyes. She smiled and saw the wall with the pictures from the new born baby. In the middle of the picture there was the name Olivia. "Oliver". "What do you think?" He Asked. He winced waiting for her response. "It's... its, its perfect" She Replied. "This is what you were doing?" He nodded. "Welcome home baby". "You are really cute" she told him. "Oh I was talking to my baby" he raised the baby and kissed her in the cheek. "Welcome home Dinah Olivia Queen Lance" Oliver wrapped an arm around Laurel and brought her close and held the baby with the other hand. "You know home is where your heart is, my heart is with this little precious human being and this amazing and handsome man that I truly love, this is home" she kissed him in the cheek.
