Gerald went home straight from work, he really felt exhausted. He got there at around 6pm. He went straight to his bedroom after greeting his mom and his brother. He lied there, staring at nothing again. He checked his phone, still the same women asking him to go out, he shook his head and laid his phone beside him. It took a while before he noticed the box delivered to him earlier. He lazily stood up and opened it, he was confused seeing an umbrella. He took it out and saw a card “See you later. You know where. 7pm. -S” it says. He scratched his head, not knowing whom it came from and where he’s supposed to be. “Umbrella? What?” he can’t understand. It’s nearly 7 and he needs to figure it out soon.
Sarah’s photo shoot ended earlier than expected. She asked Anna if she could go somewhere alone but she didn’t approve. “Ok, I’ll have to take her with me then.” Sarah said to herself. She went to the park along with a driver and Anna. She remembered it clearly, well; she can’t forget it even if she tried. They parked near the closed gates. It was at the end of a dark alley, it was different now; she needed to be extra careful. It was only 7pm and someone might see her, unlike the first time she went it was late. She took with her an umbrella. Good thing she changed into her usual wardrobe, jeans. She asked Anna and her driver to stay and wait for her; Anna confused went down the vehicle after her “San ka pupunta? Sarado yan oh!” she said to Sarah. “Dito kami galing nun, don’t worry” then she flashed a smile.
Sarah then threw the umbrella and her shoes at the other side of the wall. “Sarah!” Anna yelled.
“Shhh! Wag kang maingay. Baka mahuli ako nan!” she said then started to climb. Upon reaching the top she turned to Anna who had panic painted all over her face “Stay there. I’ll be back soon, dun ka muna sa sasakyan. Bye!” then leaped her way down.
Gerald was still puzzled, trying to figure out who “S” was. “S? S? Sharmaine? Nah, may boyfriend na yung bago. Shari? Pfft. Galit pa yun sa akin. S? waah! Sino ka ba?” he asked himself puzzled. Then a name came to his mind “Sarah?” his heart skipped another beat “Impossible. She wouldn’t. Would she?” he continued. He then looked at the umbrella, “what the hell. I’m taking my chances.” He got his keys and left.
Sarah was standing at the spot where they were before “What’s taking him so long? 8 na!” she said in frustration. She didn’t know what she’ll do if he doesn’t show up, she just wanted to talk to him and thank him for everything he has done for her. It started to rain again and she opened her umbrella to protect herself “Sabi na nga ba uulan eh. I knew it! Buti na lang talaga at nagdala ako ng payong. Kapag wala pa siya in 10 minutes aalis na ko.” She told herself.
