Days passed, and finally the movie was out. The premiere night went incredibly well, and the earnings for the first day were unexpected. The movie garnered at least 23million at its opening. It was a huge success and even Sam and Sarah were surprised by the overwhelming praises and support they have been getting.
Sarah was very, very busy for the past days but Gerald was cool about it, he did his darn best to understand her. He convinced himself that everything will be better after the movie’s released. She tried to call him whenever time permits, but Sam would always cut it short. Still, Sarah believed that Sam wasn’t doing anything bad and Sam took advantage of her innocence.
After a week, the movie was still what everyone was talking about. Undeniably, it was breaking all box office records. Gerald congratulated Sarah for yet again, another accomplishment. He didn’t watch it, but kept hearing good feedbacks from his friends and his family, he felt proud every time he would hear people talk about her, but as always, he kept his pride hidden inside himself. He got used to the feeling. He didn’t bother Sarah too much for he knows she’s still wrapped up with the success of the movie, he allowed her to savor the moment with Sam and patiently waited for her.
Gerald kept himself busy with work. Unknown to Sarah, he was getting promoted. For the past months since they’ve been together, he has been working extremely hard, wanting to be better… no, he wanted to be the best. He thought that if the time would come for her to finally admit him, he needed to prove to her and to everybody else that he’s worth it. He didn’t want to be seen as someone who would use her for money or anything else. Sarah inspired Gerald, he changed himself completely. Before, he never dreamed nor wanted anything more than what he already had, he was perfectly contented with what he was, a man with a regular job, a regular pay. But everything changed since Sarah came into his life, he worked hard, spent less, stopped drinking and partying. Now more than ever, he had a goal… He had direction.
The movie was still showing even after 2 weeks, Gerald was really pissed by now because Sam and Sarah were together almost everywhere thanking everyone who supported their movie. They appeared in KrisTv, It’s showtime, ASAP, Showbiz Inside Report, SGL, The Buzz, TV Patrol, and even in Bandila. Now, they couldn’t even talk much when they’re on the phone, she was either tired or really busy, which was making Gerald furious inside.
Sarah knew that she was already being unfair to Gerald, she was just waiting till all the hype was done and after that, she could have time again. Sarah promised Gerald that after everything was over, she’ll be spending a whole week with him. Gerald agreed and let her be. Sarah’s management gave her a week of vacation since she has been working non-stop for several months now, and they wanted to make her rest before she could start preparing for her upcoming concert.
Gerald was really excited to be with her again, he wanted to tell her that he was promoted and is now the new General Manager at the shop he was working at. He was planning a dinner for the both of them, he looked for the person or people owning the park where they often go to. It took him a while to find him, but at last he reached him.
