Her life resembled the autumn leaves 🍁, dry and worn out ... but it had a hidden beauty to it. She hasn't found it out until now.
"Amber it's time for you to wash the dishes!!" , yelled her step mother from the kitchen. Although she was in her room upstairs , she could hear her mom's annoyingly loud voice. She ran down in fear. Fear of getting beaten up. Beaten up so hard if she wouldn't do what her mother ordered her to do so.
" Here I am mom .." , says Amber with a sigh.
She inserts her slender fingers into the plastic gloves and starts washing the enormous amount of dishes. Mean while , her mom goes off to send her other kids to school. Amber turns up the volume on the music player. It was her favorite song.
Slowly , the sink started emptying making amber sigh in relief ... she hated chores.
Finally , it was over. She went back to her room , she opened her window for some fresh air. After all , her house felt very stuffy with all the family nuisance. She could hear the birds chirping... it was as though they had more freedom than her. They seemed happy flying around. They didn't worry like how she had to.
She envied then.
Suddenly she notices something
Something she couldn't believe at first.
