She woke up to the smell of chocolates. She opened her eyes and saw the colorful balloons which filled the room and looked beautiful.
She searched for Nathan but didn't seem to find him around. She thought he's in the washroom when she opened the door to know that he wasn't there either. She started panicking with a fear and she felt a lump down her throat thinking that he left her again. She started sweating and felt her palms getting wet. She took out her phone and called him. Once. Twice. Thrice. No answer and hence she started tearing up. She was hungry too so she went to the table and noticed a letter. She opened it and knew that Nathan wrote it. She read it as her tears fell down on the paper.
She was shocked that he left her again. And yes she did worry about his current state. Wether he's doing alright without her by his side. But she knew that he survived two years without her so he probably knew how to do it now too.
She suddenly thought about her family which she left behind in California.
She was thinking about what would happen if she headed back there.
