Chapter 5: Stretching the Limits

Rey's POV
I waited and waited for Ben to get back. I also jumped to the worst conclusion that he got lost or something had attacked him. Finally I heard the door open from downstairs. I grabbed my lightsaber just in case it may not be him and snuck around the corner to the steps. I ran downstairs to see Ben standing with a basket of fruit.
"I thought we had already been through this," he said staring at the shiny blade.
"I was just being careful, what if it wasn't you?" I shot back deactivating the lightsaber.
"Good point," he responded sitting the fruit on the table.
"There's a giant Forrest out there with enough of this fruit to last us a lifetime," Ben said.
"Wow," I responded.
I chopped up the fruit and we ate dinner around a fire Ben built on the beach.
"Thanks for saving me today," I said eating the last bit of my fruit.
"That's only the 3,455,897th time you've said that," Ben said sarcastically.
"Well sorry that I'm actually thankful for your presence!" I sarcastically shot back.
"Solid burn," Ben returned.
"Why did you want to get away from the First Order?" I asked. "The Resistance is so weak, you could easily defeat us in a heart beat."
"Because Rey," he blushed ," you turned me. In Snokes throne room, I wanted the light, but I wanted the galaxy too, now I know what's more important-" he trailed off.
"Why did you come here?" He asked.
"The Resistance didn't need me," I truthfully admitted. "No one had been acting the same, and because somebody was trying to force into my mind to get the Resistance location," I said playfully glaring at Ben. " I had to protect them."
"Why were you trying to get the Resistance location if you didn't care about the First oRder anymore?" I asked.
"Because I needed you here Rey, I didn't want to be alone, plus we have a Force bond for some reason, and I want to figure out why."
I nodded and finished my fruit. Before long, it was time for bed. I slipped into the bed and I tried to stay on my side of the mattress about falling off, trying to stay still so he wouldn't think I'd be trying to give him a playful hint. I glanced over and noticed Ben doing the same. Slowly I relaxed and fell asleep.

Ben's POV
I woke up before Rey and glanced over at her. She was sleeping soundly and she looked beautiful.
"Rey wake up," I said softly, delicately nudging her.
"5 more minutes," she mumbled.
I laughed, then she shot up frightened. She looked at me with terrified eyes and eyed the room.
"Are you ok?" I asked concerned.
She sighed looking relieved.
"Yeah I'm fine, "she sighed, "I just forgot where I was."
"Why don't you have a shirt on?" She asked.
"I sleep like this," I replied.
She got out of bed and BB-8 rolled in the room. We walked to the kitchen and sat in the chairs.
"What's for breakfast?" She asked.
"I have some food supplies in my ship besides the fruit of course, and we could always go fishing if we want meat," I responded.
After I walked out to my ship and got my food supplies, Rey helped me fix breakfast, and ate it as quick as we had fixed it.
"What now?" Rey said wiping off the table.

Rey's POV
"What to do on a deserted planet by ourselves?" Ben said looking towards me. His eyes were twinkling. I pushed into his mind and saw his thoughts.
"Dirty minded much?" I said sarcastically.
"Hey were you just looking in my mind?" Ben said with a playful annoyance in his voice.
"You can't stop me," I said playfully. I grabbed his shirt, since he didn't have one on.
"Hey give that back!" He yelled while trying to grab it, but I yanked it away from his reach.  I giggled as I raced out of the house and onto the beach. Ben followed me trying not to smile. A big grin burst upon his face. I had never seen him smile so much as he chased me. I ran all up and down the beach. I felt myself not being able to move all of the sudden. He had me in a force freeze. I tried to escape it, but I wasn't strong enough. He walked up to me and grabbed his shirt out of my hand.
"I'll be taking that," he said walking around me like I was some kind of prey.
"Now it's time for your punishment," he said in a teasing manor.
He unfroze me and picked me up bridal style. I held him around his neck.
"What are you doing?" I asked curious.
He was walking towards the ocean.
"We are not going in there," I said.
"You're going to face your fears Rey, cmon its part of the game," he chuckled, walking into the water.
I gripped onto him tighter.
"Please Ben, turn around!" I screamed.
The water was now about at his knees as the waves crashed and the seafoam rolled into me.
"Rey I'm here with you, I won't let go of you," he said loosening his grip on me about to put me down.
"BEN PLEASE TAKE ME BACK TO THE SHORE! I CANT DO THIS!" I screamed tears rolling down my cheeks.
Ben saw how scared I was so he took me back to shore. When we were in the sand, I loosened out of his grip and started running back to the house.
