Chapter 9: Sacrifice

Rey's POV
We were handcuffed and led into the ship. I tried to force break them, but they resisted.
"They're force proof before you try anything," the storm trooper said to me. Ben and I were were both beside each other with an array of stormtroopers around us. After what seemed like forever, we arrived on a star destroyer, and were led to a huge chamber. Hux was sitting on a huge throne. The stormtroopers knocked us to our knees.
"What do you want Hux?" Ben said.
"Please let us go, we aren't part of the Resistance!" I cried. Hux walked up to us.
"What I want," Hux said circling us ," is you both dead."
"Please spare Rey," Ben cried ,"she's pregnant."
Hux started laughing.
"Did Ben get a bit scandalous on his little vacation?" Hux teased.
Ben tried to get up, but Hux kneed him in the stomach causing him to collapse to the ground. I tried to wiggle over to help him, but my stormtrooper held me back.
"Tomorrow you will both be publicly executed," Hux said with an evil laugh.
"You'll never get away with it!" I yelled as a guard took us away.
"We'll see,"I heard Hux say as we were lead to our cell.
Later that night, I rested my head on the iron bed as Ben paced the cell. Of course the cell was force proof.
"What do we do?" Ben said frantically.
"Nothing I guess," I said.
"So you just give up?"
"I'm not afraid Ben, we have to figure out something, but Ben whatever is beyond this...if we can't escape.... it'll be fine....we'll be together."
"We need to think of ways to escape while we can."
"I can force contact Leia and tell her we're in trouble and get the Resistance to rescue us."
"Good idea."
I tried to force contact her, but it wasn't working.
"It's not working, I need more power, it will work if we try to do it at the same time."
"I can't," Ben replied.
"Why not? Your mother loves you and she wants to rescue both of us."
"Ok..."
We both closed our eyes and reached out to the force to contact Leia. We reached her, I could feel her presence . She saw and heard everything Hux had said about our execution. I felt  her send a message to us, it said I'll send troops out to rescue you, it will be awhile, but we're coming.
After we finished, I turned to Ben.
"No matter what happens, I love you Rey, you're the only thing I've ever loved."
My heart swelled as I could feel us understand each other.
"I feel the same way," I replied smashing my lips against his.
"I just feel bad this baby of ours won't get to experience life," Ben said.
"Have hope Ben, Leia will rescue us and we will all be fine," I reassured him.
"You're right Rey," he said hugging me. Soon we fell asleep embracing each other.

Ben's POV
The next morning, I woke up with a chill remembering what would happen today if the Resistance didn't come for us. Rey soon woke up and we sat in silence as I held her and petted her hair.
"It's time," a stormtrooper said approaching our cell. All of the sudden, a noise was heard down the corridor and a laser shot through the stormtrooper.
"We have to figure out where they are,"  a voice said.
"Poe!" Shouted Rey.
"Rey where are you?!"
"Over here!"
Poe and Finn ran up to our cell, and busted it open. Rey hugged them.
"I missed you," she said to them.
"Enough chit chat, we need to get out of here!" I yelled.
A great feeling went through me as we all ran throughout the halls.
"The ships this way!" Finn said as we ran, but ahead of us were a group of storm troopers. We started to to the other way, but they were blocking all of our escape routes. We were trapped.
