"Honey, wake up! It's girly daaaaayyy!!!" yelped mom as she sat down on my bed, caressing my tired face with her fingers. She usually wakes me by just shouting at me from downstairs to get down and eat a proper breakfast. But it was a girly day, a special day.

"Hmmmmm" I murmured looking up at her sparkling eyes that were gazing at me. I threw the soft blanket off the bed and sat up on my bed, next to mum. I was still tired even though I slept like 11 hours. Oh well...

"What's for breakfast?" I asked as I rubbed my exhausted eyelids. I was up too late talking with Sara on the phone for countless hours about literally nothing...Although that's what BFF's do, isn't it?

I turned around and looked at the ticking clock placed on my bedside table, next to my blue lamp. It was 12:05.

"Do you mean lunch?" asked mom with a gentle smile on her rosy cheeks. I always thought that she was an angel, who fell from heaven. She is so beautiful. Unlike me.

"Uhm, yeah, sure," I said as I stood up from the bed and went towards the open door.

We ate lunch, then went to the mall for some shopping and we watched a pretty good movie. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of shopping, but my mom loves to shop. For me. The things I will never wear in my entire life.

We made our way to the cinema with HUGE paper bags in our hands. The cashier even looked at us with curious eyes. She was probably wondering whether she should be worried or not about the whole pile of bags and boxes we were packed with.

We sat down in our seats, and the first moments of Everything, Everything started to play.

I woke up as I was losing my balance on the narrow branch and almost fell face-forward towards the earth. My heart was pounding hard against my bones of the adrenalin rising inside me of almost breaking my neck.

I really slowly climbed down from the tree, not looking down towards the ground due to my fear of heights. I felt a huge relief as my bare feet touched the soft, sandy ground.

As I looked around, I became aware of the purple butterfly couple dancing in the air in the foliage of the trees. The sunlight started its own pirouette on the wings of the flying creatures. The rays were peering through the space between the individual green leaves of the crowded ceiling. I stepped closer to the arrow of light flying through the air and noticed how the air vibrated with heat. A drop of sweat rolled down my neck as I started my journey back to the beach.

...

I was walking for hours now and felt a scraper feeling in my throat as I thought about the ocean beyond the horizon. I did not drink for a day or so and I felt my hydration and energy level decrease as I walked miles and miles in the jungle.

I stopped for lunch in the shade of a banana tree. As I sat down, peeling down the skin of the yellow fruit, I noticed from the corner of my eye a certain individual sitting beside. I swiftly turned my head towards the living organism, with a huge surprise. It was a monkey. The light caressed his grey fur with great care. I took a closer look at him. He seemed pretty calm and I guess, he wouldn't do any harm to me.

I noticed how he eyed my hand holding the banana. I raised my arm, looking at his eye as it followed the movements of the fruit. I looked at it, then back at the fruit. My head was telling me to just go because an animal in the jungle could be dangerous. But my heart told me to give the only banana found on this tree to him. I reached out my hand towards the grey-haired ape. He quickly took the banana out from the squeeze of my fingers and started to chew on it.
