I can't say that the whole week wasn't tyring, because that wouldn't be true. I had 2 assignments due wendnesday and thursday, and had 3 tests on monday...so I think this is why I woke up so late on saturday morning.
I got out of bed, my eyes still half-closed as I stumbled out of my room, to the kitchen, to find something edable for my hungry tummy.
I sat down on the chair placed next to dad, who was reading something on his phone whilst drinking a cup of tasty coffee.
"Good morning darling! How did you sleep?"
"Mhhh" I mumbled, still tired, not having the energy to open my mouth properly to speak.
"I see..." said dad, a little smile spreading across his face as he watched me searching for some food.
"I made some pancakes if you want any?" mum walked into the room with a plate of pancakes and maple sirup. The delicious smell of pancakes hit my nose and I couldn't wait to eat all of it. I threw myself at the plate, eager to taste as many as I can.
"Hanna, leave some for Isaac too, please!" mum warned me.
Of course, at the end, I ate all of the pancakes and didn't leave any for my brother. And of course, Isaac got angry and blamed me for having such a big stomach. What a nice brother and sister relationship, don't you think?
...
After devouring my breakfast, I dressed up for the family lunch we are going to attend. I chose a cute light blue dress that go with my brand new, black boots. I put on some minimal makeup, since I don't like to look unnatural in front of my boyfriend, but I still don't want to look like a person that just came from the ice ages...
We went to the restaurant right after everybody was ready with their morning rituals. Ethan's family got there first, already waiting for us at our usual table, the one by the window. The restaurant looked exactly as I remembered from last week. The walls wore a darker shade of maroon, with little cream colored flowers. The curtains were all cream colored and they lazily hung by the window, letting the winter lights in from the noisy street. There were tables everywhere, covered with white sheets and cutleries, and a huge boquet of red flowers was placed in the middle of the table. It looked nice, but elegant.
"Hello, beautiful" Ethan stepped in front of me, taking my right hand, turning me around my orbit.
"Hey" I say, placing a hand on his chest, looking into his bright blue eyes.
"You look gorgeous" he whispered, pressing his forehead to mine.
"Thank you." I whispered back, eager to feel his lips pressed against mine.
"Okay, lovebirds, that's enough for today!" my dad said, already sitting next to mom. We giggled while we sat down, his hand still holding mine.
"Sooo what do you wanna eat today, modemoiselle?" Ethan asked, taking the menu into his hands that lay on the table.
"Hmmm...Je ne connais pas, monsieur..." I answered. If he started in french, I'll accept the challenge and will continue in french. Even though I am the only one who knows french at this table. Oh well...
"Okay, can you translate that, because mademoiselle was all my french knowledge..." he said, with the cutest laugh on earth.
"Haha, of course. I said I don't know." I winked, and he gave a quick kiss to my tomato red cheeks.
"I see. Then I'll decide what you'll eat!"
"Noooo way!! You'll give me snails again! I had to puke for like thirty mintues after taking a single bite!" I protested against him choosing my lunch. Again.
"Hahaha, but that was funnnn, wasn't it?" He gave me a wink back. Arghh, he is too sweet to be angry at!
"Lower you voice, kids! We" mom pointed at the parents " have some news that we want to share with you." every single eye was stuck on mom. I saw from the corner of my eyes, that dad is pulling his mouth into a wide grin. Ohoh.
"We're going to Austria for a week! We're staying at a hotel in the mountains and we'll go skiing every day!!!" she screamed with excitement. Lily - Ethan's 10-year-old sister - started to jump up and down in her seat with happiness, Isaac just stared at mom with wide eyes, Ethan looked at me with knitted brows, which was probably mirroring my own expression.
"That's all great, but where the hell is that?" asked Ethan and I could already see his mind thinking about how much time he will have to spend without his grilfriend.
"In Europe!" said mom, still full of excitement. I started to wonder when will she start running laps around the restaurant and shouting "YESSS WE'RE GOING TO AUSTRIAAAAA", like a year old golden retriever.
"And where's that?" asked Lily, her excitement decreasing.
"Well...another continent?" mom tried to explain with not much success.
"Oh" Lily said.
"Oh" Ethan whispered to me.
"Ooh" I closed the circle.
"Isn't it exciting?" dad joined in.
"Yeah" the under-aged people murmured at our table, with not much joy.
"Are we going by plane?" I asked, and started to count the hours that I have to spend in the narrow vehicle.
"Yes, Hanna darling" Daisy - Ethan's mom - joined the choir of parents who tried to convince the "children" about how great it will be to travel together.
"Mom, just let me remind you that the last time we travelled together, it didn't end well..." I tell her, referring to the incident of Finn. I put my hand under the table, and squezed Ethan's hand, to comfort him.
"I know, that's exactly why we would like to travel together! To show you that we could do a normal holiday!"
"And why exactly do we have to travel that far? We have plenty of snow right here!" Ethan pointed at the window, where we could see the street covered with white sheets of snow.
"Because the whole point of traveling is seeing new things, doing things out of your comfort zone." answered dad. And I really hoped I didn't see his eyes narrowing on Ethan...typical father...hate to see their daughter with another boy...
"Okay, we can try, fine by me" Isaac said at first "But I wanna have extra money on my phone for texts and calls" he started bargening with mom. He did not have to say why he wanted it. We already knew; his girlfriend.
"Deal!" mom said, reaching her hand out for Isaac to shake it. Isaac turned to us with a surprised face and mouthed "She agreed what the f***!!!" and we just started to laugh at his deal with mom.
"Hanna? Ethan?"
"Let's do this!" Ethan said instead of me, knowing what I would've said.
"Lily?"
"Of course, if it means skipping a week of school, I'm in!" she said, and I reached my hand out for her to give me a high five with a grin. That's a fair point!
"Okay then! You'll have to start packing after lunch! We're departing in the evening!"

Whooaaa, another holiday??? Excited to see the result!!
