That date went far better than what I expected.

In fact I never expected to do anything like what we did. We had dinner and had conversations as if we had known each other long before tonight. On top of that, we watched one of the most amazing local jazz trios perform for us, with Jesse and I dancing together halfway through the show. I turned to look at him, wondering who this blonde hair, brown eyed, rugby player was, knowing that I did want to know more about him, and see what else he had up his sleeve. "I hope you enjoyed tonight as much as I did", he whispered in my ear as we walked to my door, and I felt comfortable with his arm around my shoulder. I blush as he lifts my hand to his lips, "I honestly had a lot of fun. No one has ever done what you did for me tonight". "Plus, I finally got the chance to dance with you, after you disappeared that night", Jesse cheekily adds.

My cheeks heat up and I look down at my feet, but moves his arm and uses his other hand lift my face to look at him, looking at me with sincerity. "Does this mean there's going to be another date?", he asks hopefully. I nod my head and he starts leaning in, his eyes watching my lips as I bite my lower lip in nerves. Jesse runs his hand on my cheek, running his thumb across my lower lip. I close my eyes and breathe, soon feeling soft lips on mine. My body melts at the intimate touch, but I inwardly gasp when I feel his tongue against my lips.

The kiss grew hot, and not in the temperature surrounding us, but hot in the way it made my body feel, and how warm his lips were. After letting take him control of our heated kiss, I soon pull away, taking in as much oxygen as I could. That's just how that kiss felt, it was breathtaking, in every clichéd sense of the word. "So I'll see you soon?", he asks with his eyes looking at me with desire and something else I couldn't determine. "Yeah, sure thing", I reply hoarse. He lets out a soft laugh and I mentally curse at him. "Thanks Jesse", I say softly before kissing his cheek and rushing inside, worried about my own sanity and what would have happened had we stayed that close to each other for a minute longer.

I close the door and lean against it, calming my racing heart as I heard Jesse's car drive away. This feeling was one that I was not used to, in the twenty-one years that I have been alive. I did not have to calm down from a date when ever I was with my former boyfriend, but I have been struggling to control the physical reactions I have had from just being in contact with Jesse from the first client moment that we met.

I was almost curious to see where the two of us were headed, but I laughed out loud when I tried to imagine Jesse and I being in a long-term relationship. "Come on Sedi, you're a simple girl, and he's an athlete. You've read the books, seen the plays, heard the stories and watched the films. This date is the beginning of a love story, and instead of being overly excited like a love struck female, I should be realistic", I rambled, hoping I succeeded in calming myself down.

Once the thoughts were gathered, I headed to my bedroom and prepared for bed. However, just as I stretched my arm to switch off my bedroom light, my bedroom door is opened, and holding onto the door handle is Nthabileng, grinning down at me. "What's wrong khaitseli?", I ask slowly.

"Did you really think you could go to sleep with out telling dear old big sister about your date?", she muses. I let out a loud groan and bury myself under the covers while my sister laughs at me, before jumping and landing right on top of me. That is when I knew that I was not going to sleep tonight.

Translation: khaitseli (ga-ts-eh-li) - means sister in Sesotho

Author's Note: I do apologise if this chapter sounds boringly fluffy. I had a long day, but did not want to go to sleep without publishing the first five chapters of my new story.
