You suddenly hear Medic clear his throat. You twist your head around and saw Medic standing next to a stretcher. You walk over to him, Medic calculated every step you took. At least, it looked like it.
'Ze reason you can't just go running into battle willy-nilly-' Medic got cut off by you giggling at his last words. You look at him, he had a smile, but looked at you like a funny "seriously?". 'BECAUSE.' Medic said louder, he held back a chuckle from hearing your giggle. 'Zhere is a limited amount of times you can respawn in vone battling event.' Medic's voice slowly turned more serious, as did his facial expressions. You slowly nod. 'You see, our technology has not yet reached its full potential. But vonce it does, our team vill be able to go out to battle not worrying about dying for real.' Medic's voice cracked. He pushes his glasses up, then signals his hand to the stretcher. 'If you may.' Medic said politely. You nod and sit on the side of the stretcher, looking up to Medic, but he wasn't looking at you, as he was sorting out some medical supplies on his metal table next to the stretcher.
'So I vould advise you to-' Medic turns around to look down at you. 'Try not to die too much.' Medic said lowering his voice and with a look of concern.
'I'll try.' You reply with a reassuring smile to him. Medic returns the smile and turns back to his metal table.
'Lay back and try to relax.' Medic said still sorting out his supplies. You lay down and take a breath, hoping this will turn out fine with no weird accident or something. You suddenly feel a sharp pain in your arm. You resist the urge to strike, when you realise it was just Medic injecting a syringe into your arm. You wince once the syringe is slid out gently. He places it on his metal table. That must a pain relief thing, you thought. Medic turns back to you, scooting himself closer to you in his wheelie chair.
'Zhis von't take too long, Fraüline.' Medic said as he gave you a reassuring sweet smile. You smile at the man and get comfortable in your stretcher. Waiting for him to do what he needs to do. Medic clears his throat.
'Could you please take your shirt off?' Your face turns surprised. And you see his face go a little red, he still had a serious face though. You hesitate, but slip out of your shirt, leaving yourself in your blue bra. You place the shirt on the floor beside you, and look back up at the Medic. He clears his throat again, obviously trying hard not to look at something. This made you feel uncomfortable when you realise, this must be the first time he's done this to a GIRL. Medic grabbed a scalpel from the metallic table next to him, he hunched over a little, then begun to delicately cut a line from left to right, right under your bra line. He is sitting rather close to your head, but more like right next to your shoulder. You look slightly down at him, Medic's face looks quite red. God. This is starting to make you blush too. He hasn't done this procedure to a girl before. This kept repeating through your head. I wonder what he's thinking. Medic takes a gulp, focusing hard on what he's doing. Medic grabs a piece of cloth from his table and quickly wipes it around the open area. Wait, aren't you supposed to be asleep or something?
'Should I be awake for this?' You ask feeling nervous. Medic stops and looks at you dumbfounded.
'Oh, do you vant to?' Medic asks, as if he had never heard that question before.
'Well, not really.' You say looking at the cut open area. It made you feel really gross in the stomach, you winced.
'Ok, zhen.' He says almost questioningly. He gets up and walks over to a cabinet that looks like it hasn't been opened for decades. Has he EVER made his patients asleep when doing surgery? Medic opens the cabinet door, it made a squeak when it slowly opened, this made a shiver run down your spine. Medic pulls out a pink glowing syringe. An eyebrow of yours raised, the syringe looked amazing. Medic walked over to you and sat back in his wheelie chair, scooting closer to your chest again.
'Hold still, after I inject zhis into your system, you vill "pass out" until after ze procedure is finished.' Medic said making his words "understandable" for you. He flicks the tip of the syringe, then he softly placed his other hand on your arm, slowly moving the syringe towards your arm. You jump and push the syringe away from your arm. He looks at your eyes confused.
'I hate needles, I'm afraid of them.' You confess to Medic. He takes his hand off your arm and lowers the needle he almost dropped when you pushed.
'Alvight.' Medic said softly, placing the syringe on his metal table. 'Zhen just focus on me...' He stares into your eyes and slowly moved his face closer to yours. You feel yourself panic with confusion inside, but his eyes. You couldn't help but slowly shut your eyes. After a second, nothing happened. You open them and see Medic holding an empty syringe, smiling at you. Your eyes flicker as everything starts to look darker and darker. You realise what he did and you couldn't help but shake your head slowly, smiling, also blushing. The last thing you see is Medic grabbing his scalpel again, turning around. He winked at you. Next thing you knew, everything turned black.
After about 20 minutes, you awoke. You blink a couple times to make your vision clearer. You notice Medic on his wheelie chair reading a book with a leg over his other leg. Sitting like a gentleman. Medic sees you and places his book down on the table, smiling. You couldn't see what the book was called in time. He scoots closer to you gently.
'Ze procedure vas a success, Fraüline. Zhank you for holding in zhere.' Medic said quietly. You leaned over the stretcher and slipped your shirt on, lightly blushing the whole time, knowing Medic was there, in presence. You smile not being able to say anything, due to "just waking up". Well, you didn't want to say anything, not wanting to sound grainy and/or weird. Medic holds up a hand for you, you take it and he lifts you up. You sit on the side of the stretcher and look down. Getting up, you walk towards the door, you stop at the doorframe holding the double doors open.
'Thank you, Medic.' You say sweetly.
'My pleasure, Fraüline.' Medic replied. 'Feel free to explore ze rest of our base.'
'Way ahead of you.' You said smiling and walking out the doors. The fresh air felt amazing against your skin. Even though Fortress is set in the desert, it is quite a peaceful, live place. There is even some grass around some areas of the Fortress. You began walking to the official Blu team's building. Once you got to the doors, you pressed in the code. [1,1,1] the doors popped open a little. You step inside and shut the doors behind you. Stepping forwards you notice a door you don't remember seeing before. It looked really old. Written on the label above it said "Spare Room". You smile and open the door, it makes a creaking sound. You switch on the light and it shows a big dirty room, with rags, cloths, spare clothes, and battle gear scattered everywhere. Man this would be a good place to make a gaming room. Wait. That sounds great! On ceasefire days, the team and you could get together and play games on the consoles and boards you brought in your bag. That would be a great way to socialise and act with the group, you thought. You hear your heart pump loudly all of a sudden. You clutch your chest with a hand, to feel it beating. It hurt more than you would be comfortable with. It stopped and you stepped inside the room, shutting the door. Hoping that was only a one time affect of the heart übercharging thing. You walk around the room and examine the spare items scattered everywhere, avoiding some while wondering around. You notice a washing basket against the wall, you walk over to it and pick it up whilst smiling. You start humming a song as you begin tidying the room, throwing the cloths, rags, and dirty clothes into the basket. Once you picked all of them up, that you could see, you placed the basket next to a washing machine and threw them in. You start it on rinsing and then begin to pick up all the battle gear. Filling your hands with gear, you do a rotation of "pick up as much gear as you can. Stuff them in the spare closet. Then repeat". After all of that was done, you decided to leave. Looking around the room one last time until the next day, you smile. It's already looking much tidier and bigger. You shut the door and look out the window. It's dark out right now, beautiful. You creep down the hallway to your room, not wanting to wake anyone's snoring sleep along the way. You get to your room and the next thing you know is getting wrapped into your bed, asleep.
[The Next Morning]
Today is luckily a ceasefire day, which means you can keep preparing the Spare Room to become a Gaming Room. Wow. You are so excited to do this you have butterflies. You jump out of bed and straighten your hair with a comb from your bed side table. You can hear everyone getting up and some yawning from behind the walls. Not everyone though. This is actually kind of a "holiday" for both teams in the Fortress. You run out the door and almost bump into Sniper. He stumbles back a little trying to steady his coffee mug in surprise.
'Damn, hon. Slow down.' Sniper says a little croakier then normal. He definitely looks like he has just gotten out of bed... and headed straight for the coffee machine. His hair is a mess and he's not wearing his aviator shades nor his hat.
'Sorry, Snipe.' You say starting to run past him down the hall.
'Where are you off to in such a hurry, mate?' Sniper asks still croaky. You stop and turn your head to him. He's standing there, leaning on his foot, holding his coffee mug in one hand, while the other is carelessly dangling beside him.
'Oh, it's a surprise for everyone.' You say smiling cheerfully and heading off down the hall again.
'Alright.' Sniper mumbles, then rubs his eye. He then starts walking off to where he was heading to before, slowly. As Sniper was walking, he hears footsteps behind him. Sniper doesn't bother to turn around because he's just too tired. Soon the footsteps catch up to him, he then turns his head and sees Spy walking along with him.
'Morning, mon ami.' Spy said, obviously looking like he had just gotten out of bed also. Spy is wearing his blue stripped suit, but it's all untidy. He's reading a newspaper as he walks beside Sniper.
'Mornin' Spy.' Sniper said with a voice that sounded like he couldn't care less. Spy sounded the same way so it was even. Snipers and Spies don't exactly get along well with each other. Even on the same team. But they work together, so they try to put an effort.
