Our next class was piano with the band teacher, Mr. Ormsbee. Cody walked with us because he had the same class, but he didn't talk to me this time. We both mostly listened to Autumn talk unless she asked one of us a question which we would answer vaguely. Cody seemed like he no longer wanted to be around me but I couldn't tell why. He just seemed distant all of a sudden. It couldn't be me right?

Mr. Ormsbee was blonde and he looked pretty young, maybe in his mid 30's, which I didn't expect. His classroom wasn't any ordinary classroom with desks and stuff. There were four large steps and we sat on the left side of the room on the third row. Mr. Ormsbee passed out a syllabus then for the last 30 minutes we got to talk. This time Cody read a book and Autumn and I talked.

When class ended I was on my own. Autumn walked in the opposite direction as me, and Cody went in the same direction, but I didn't think he wanted to talk with me. He walked faster than I did and eventually, he disappeared into the crowd of students. My chemistry class was all the way on the other side of the school. The room was kinda hard to find because the sign was very misleading. A sign read room 220, but on a door right next to the classroom. I walked around the hall for a second confused till someone grabbed my arm.

"Hey," I yelled and the guy grabbed my schedule. When I saw him clearly, I realized it was Cody. I hadn't realized before but he had bright green eyes and very beautiful, soft yet muscular features. I don't know how I didn't notice this before because it was quite distinguishable.

"Wait here," he said handing my schedule back roughly and looking away.

"Why?"

"Your classroom is right there," he said pointing to a door next to the hallway door which had the 220 sign on it.

"Oh," I said softly and looked away so I wouldn't have to talk to him again. His sudden mood swing of anger was kinda scaring me.

"Look who doesn't need a knight with a map now," he teased trying to lighten up a little. I chuckled slightly, not really amused, and I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn't look at him. When Mrs. Zint arrived, I walked in and sat somewhere randomly, but when the bell rang our teacher made everyone stand up again.

"Hi guys," she said in a friendly way and she had a slight lisp. "So the way I do this is you'll have the same assigned partners all semester and you'll work with them unless there is a problem. There will be certain times however when I'll allow you to work with a partner of your choice," Mrs. Zint said and started naming people off.

The classroom was quite large and was able to fit 3 tables, as in the ones with black tops that are meant for science classrooms, in a row and 6 in a column. She called people starting on the far side arranging our seats so that we had a partner with us at each table.

Alex was put next to Caleb on the far side of the room, and they were talking to two girls behind them, Ashley and one girl I didn't recognize. Mrs. Zint named a few people off, but I wasn't really paying attention to who. Finally, she called for me and pointed to a seat with her long acrylic nails.

"Sweetheart, sit next to Cody please," she said pointing at me. Good, at least I'm not sitting next to a total stranger. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be so happy that we were pairing up.

Mrs. Zint passed out a getting-to-know-you type of worksheet that she asked us to do silently. I filled mine out with my typical loopy handwriting.
