September 20 1846
We just left the mountains. This is the first night back on the prairie. We only have a couple of weeks left until we get to Oregon Country. Mr. Will has been telling us stories of the promised land. (Not as in heaven, but as in Oregon Country) Mr. Will told us that heard the land is fertile. He said it would make my garden back home look puny. I heard that Oregon Country is so big that it could fit the entire country to live there, maybe the whole world! I hope the land there is beautiful. I just hope it is a lovely as I dream it to be.
