I am grateful that we got to Fort Vancouver safely. On our trip here mother was the first to leave. Then last week it got really cold and Jude almost died too. As of late Jude hasn't been feeling well. Come to think of it, Jude hasn't been feeling well since we left the Rocky Mountains. On the other hand we are finally in Oregon Country! The first thing Mrs. Bridget wants to do is find land to claim as our own. Father just wants to restock and live in the city until we can gets some money and find a job. If it were up to me we would live near the city, but no closer than two miles away, and find a job in the city.
While we were restocking our supplies I bumped into a girl named Victoria Raye. She told me to call her Tori, but I like the name Victoria. And I told her that too. She doesn't mind. Victoria told me she needed a place to stay while the rest of her family arrived, so I invited her to stay with me and my family. I hope they don't mind.
