Two years old
The mother took her little girl to the zoo for the first time today. The little toddler absolutely loved it.
She saw giraffes, penguins, lions, and elephants for the first time. She saw many other animals as well, but those were the four that the girl adored.
The mother bought her angel a vanilla ice-cream cone with rainbow sprinkles. And she laughed as she watched her daughter pick off the sprinkles one by one and put them in her mouth.
Her and her her daughter were safe at the zoo, just the two of them. There was no one there to bother them or harm them. They were hiding away from the real world, although the little girl didn't know that just yet. She was after all, still just a toddler.
Oh how the mother wished they could stay like that forever. Both of them sitting there on a warm summer day, spending time together at the zoo.
But the ice-cream will soon melt.
And time will soon disappear.
