Four Years Old
"Mom can we ride the Ferris wheel?" The girl squeals while pointing at the ride.

"Of course we can sunshine." The mother smiles down at her daughter as she excitedly jumps up and down. The line is short, so they don't have to stand in line for long.

When the ride starts going the girl looks down, eyes wide. She's not afraid, just amazed at how far up they are.
"Mom? Are you scared of falling?" She asks.

"Yeah, I am. I'm also scared of you falling." The mother sighs.

"Don't be scared for me mommy. I'm a big girl. I can handle anything." The girl says trying to comfort her mother.

"I know you can honey. But sometimes it's too hard to get up when you fall. And I'm scared that one day, you won't want to get up."

"I will always get up for you mom. I promise." The girl says not knowing how deep the conversation had actually gotten. She didn't know what her mom actually meant. She just knew that when she tripped on her shoe laces or fell off her bike she had to get up. She had to do it for mommy.
