It was 5:50 in the morning and my alarm clock was torturing me into consciousness. I knew it was as black outside as it was with my eyes closed. I felt a warm body roll over and bury their face in my neck. Dru still hadn't adjusted to waking up in the morning during the school year and she'd been living with us for two months.
"Good morning love," I mumbled as I ran my hand up her naked back.
She shifted so that her leg was tossed across my waist and her arm wrapped around my torso. We were both naked, so I could feel the heat from between her legs and it was beginning to turn me on.
"They're seven now, why don't they have alarm clocks?"
"Because they'd ignore them," I sighed as I nuzzled a little closer to her.
"Why did I move in before they mastered their own morning routine without waking us at ungodly hours?"
We had the same conversation nearly every morning. I knew it was only in jest. She adored the twins and they loved her too. The three of them were thick as thieves most days.
"Because you love me," I smiled.
"Mmm, true. But I could love you from my condo where I could also love my sleep," she giggled.
"And it was probably the all you can eat buffet access," I said in a husky voice.
She immediately began kissing my neck and moving to straddle me. A naked Darrien was the best way to wake up. Screw coffee, I'd rather screw my girlfriend.
"I remember," she smiled before peppering my face with kisses.
When I tried to push her off she pinned my hands over my head and kissed me. I couldn't help but moan into the kiss and whimper when she pulled away.
"You know, we're only this sleep deprived because you just had to make sure your buffet coupon was still valid," I smirked and then added, "I told you we needed sleep."
"That's true but I remember you saying all sorts of things last night. Mostly my name mixed with variations of 'Oh God' and 'yes, right there' and some mumbling I couldn't interpret," she smiled.
I blushed and turned my head to the side. She released my hands and practically lay down on top of me as she kissed my neck.
"That may be true, but I still have to get this day started and that begins with waking the gremlins," I sighed as she kissed my spot.
"I'll get them up since last night was my idea. Go back to sleep," she smiled.
I quickly rolled over and pulled the covers over my head. I didn't need to be told twice. With her waking them and getting them ready and Miranda driving them to school, I could get another hour of sleep.
"Good luck," I said to her back as she made her way out of the closet and towards the door.
"I don't need it, they love me," she said cockily.
"They don't love anyone in the morning," I joked.

Three years had passed, but some things hadn't changed. After Dru moved in it meant I had someone to alternate morning twin duty with. Sure, Kai still came over to cook breakfast, but now Miranda was with him. After her and Kai got engaged over the summer she'd began driving "her kids" to school.
At first, I was hesitant because I cherished that time with them, but I quickly got over it when I realized I could get to work early and get ahead of the chaos or just stay home and have morning sex.
