Thankfully the boys arrived on time and this time they didn’t find me half naked when I opened the door. Jason grumbled a bit about that but a quick slap at the back of his head by Kyle silenced him. Wes was his usual brooding self and didn’t pay much attention to the banter of the others.
“Okay guys just pick up your assignments from the front desk I have them ready.” I told them, all of them nodded silently and went towards the office. Sighing silently I walked to the Camero and began working. I was working on the engine of the car which had a problem in its pistons when I saw a set of legs standing besides me, I looked up to see Kyle.
“Hey, did you not find your work or something” I said in an irritated tone. I wanted to get this car done before Em arrived and Kyle was kind of holding me up.
“Yeah I found them I just wanted to see how you were doing. I mean last night you were kind of out of it you know” he said a bit hesitantly. Immediately my back went rigid, making a fool of myself its not something I was proud of I didn’t want to acknowledge it so I just raised a questioning eyebrow in return to his statement.
“I was just tired, it was a long and eventful day so I guess it took a toll on me” I told him nonchalantly,
“Alright then” he stated before going back to his car, and I was met with his huge back. God! I was such a moron last night I mean talking about voldermort and alligators.
Seriously I was loosing it.
Closing my eyes I shook my head at my silliness. When I opened them I was met with another pair of eyes that were staring intensely right back at me, there stood Wes at the opposite side of the garage half bent over the hood of the car clearly trying to fix something, His green eyes were a bit narrowed at and I could make out a frown on his face. Seeing that I had met his gaze he looked away and continued with his work.
‘Stupid Wes’ I thought as I too went back to working my car.
After my little encounter with Kyle and the stupid staring with Wes, which I might add I didn’t have a clue to why he was doing it, thankfully work was quiet.
Well as quiet it could be when you have three teenage boys in the same room. Once in every five minutes Jason would say some annoying comment and Kyle would hit him on the back of his head. After a few hours I came to know that this was a habit of theirs, well what can I say Jason likes to get hit I can’t judge.
So I just ignored them, ‘What’s taking Em so long’ I thought as I set the bonnet of the car down. I wiped the sweat off my forehead, disgusting I know but I could I do it was the middle of June and the heat was absolutely ruthless. As I walked towards the main office to get my cell I heard something rather peculiar.
“No way dude, Spock totally sucks I mean pointy ears didn’t they have anything better then that he looks like a freaking pixy” Kyle stated in a bored tone, it must have offended Jason because he sucked in a breath.
“You did not just go there! ”
“What even you know that its true, I mean no way is Kirk better than Obi-Wan Kenobi” Kyle said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
I just shook my head and continued walking forward, it wasn’t that I had something against Trekkies or Star wars fans, I even liked both of them.
I mean come on Lightsabers and Teteportation who wouldn’t love them right. But despite that I learned long ago not to get into an argument with them, especially when the people arguing are two guys. It was not an experience that I want to go through again.
As the loser I was in high school, I only got to hang out with other nerds or people at the bottom of the social ladder, not that I’m complaining they were the best people there. One day unfortunately I told my friends about the episode of Star Wars I had watched with my brother last night.
