After the awkward encounter with Wes and the weird chase with the stooges I finally got myself free of them and plopped myself on the couch in the office. Ah testosterone free air, it’s so fresh so sweet so …. Not full of their sweat.

Disgusting I tell you, boys are truly and utterly disgusting. Especially when they eat; what an experience it was with them while they ate lunch pigs I tell you they’re pigs. I was so engulfed in my inner rant that I almost didn’t even notice the body that sprawled itself across me and the coach.

“Oh so you finally decided to grace me with your presence your highness” I said sarcastically, “Tell me my lady what would you like Tea? Coffee? Lunch? Or our special a big’ol ass whopping” I continued.

“Why thank you my loyal servant but I think I’ll take the lunch but I think I’ll keep the special to use on my very disobedient servant” Emilysaid in a posh tone,

“Hey!” I said pushing her legs away from my lap “Not cool Em! How did you manage to turn that on me” I pouted

“Experience my dear Mia, experience” she smiled “That and the fact that you’re too innocent” she continued.

“Me and innocent you’ve got it all wrong dear Em. How could I still be innocent after what I’ve been through?”

“You’re right let me say that again you’re too innocent in some aspects in others you’re a devil”

“Hey! What’s with turning everything bad on me? You know what I’m mad at you” I asid crossing my arms and turning away

“Aww my wittle Amelia wis mad at me” she started in a baby voice and tried to pinch my cheeks, argh I hated when people did that. Apparently my checks were very soft and pinchable, because almost everyone I knew would pinch them and trust me when I say that it hurts when they do that. Especially with Em who doesn’t just pinch them but literally pulls them away from my face.

The horror! So yes to get away from that I spoke up

“No Em no pinching my checks today” but did she listen, of course not. And to the bin went my brilliant plan of being mad at her.

“Okay okay stop with the baby faces already I forgive you” I said as I tires pushing her back on her side of the couch.

“Yay now that’s more like my Mia” she said now leaning back o the couch.

“What the.. So that’s you make me forgive you nowadays. What happened to old fashioned apologies?” I questioned.

“Ah well the died in the nineties” she said nonchalantly

“Harsh” I muttered

“Well that’s life for you, anyway where’s the lunch you told me about”

“That was a joke Em but anyway I think there a few sandwiches left at the bar if you want”

“Great I’m gonna go get some to eat” she said getting up

“Hey hey hold up at least tell me why you where late?” I pointes out as I gabbed her arm to hold her back

“Oh that”

“Yeah that, so want to tell me now?”  I said raising a brow at her obvious delay

“Can I at least have something to eat first, I haven’t eaten since morning” she complained. I sighed, I couldn’t keep a person from eating now could I. Especially if that person was your best friend t so I nodded at her.

“Okay but no flirting” I called to her as she was about to head out of the room

“Party popper” she called over to her and I chuckled at her. Gosh she was such a huge flirt, but still despite that I loved her. This brought me back to just how different we were she was confident, funny, could get any boy she wanted and also popular. While I was the total opposite I was never popular ever even when I was younger I was a complete social reject. Still that didn’t bother because I liked the isolation and the silence and I had the reassurance that the only friends I had were true friends not the ones who just want to be with you for the sake of appearances.
