Johanna POV
I wake up drowning in my sheets again. I don't remember my nightmare but by the look of my bed... it was bad. I use my wand to get out this time, I learned a charm in Flitwick's that will untangle anything, and so far it's lived up to those standards. I quickly got dressed and headed down to the common room.
When I got down I looked around for Draco and Blaise. I didn't see them, but another Slytherin approached me quickly I tried ducking toward the exit.
She cut me off smiling, "Hey! Jo, right?"
Putting it lightly, smiling didn't suit her complexion. "Hi Pansy." I replied forcing a smile back.
"Since you're better at this than me... I was hoping you could help me with my DA homework?" She batted her eyes.
Once again, the gesture didn't suit her. "Sure Pansy, I finished mine ages ago anyway." I gave in, "I'll help you after lunch."
"Thanks."she replied, then added, "How did you get this done early? We got it yesterday."
"We did this third year at Ilvermony. You guys would've too if you hadn't had Lockhart set you back a year." I stated bluntly.
She didn't look hurt like I thought she would. Darn, was hoping that would get her to leave me alone. Instead she started laughing. "You are.. so right!" she gasped between giggles, "He.. was the worst!"
I couldn't stop myself I started laughing too, "He did a visit a Ilvermony... Biggest waste of time!" I recounted, "The headmaster looked like he was about to kill him!"
"You should've seen... Snape's face! His face... it was like he... was smelling... Crabbe's feet!" she replied nearly doubling over with laughter.
"Whew! We'd better get to breakfast. Come with?" I ask.
"Sure!" she replied cheerfully.
Looks like I finally found another friend.
We made our way to the Great Hall together. When I realized this was the first day I hadn't walked with Draco or Blaise. Huh. I'm making progress!
We walked into the Great Hall together. As soon as we sat down a few girls that were already there moved over with us. They left a seat open beside me, I guessed they watched me and Draco a lot and knew to leave a seat open. Unfortunately the girl who sat on the other side of Draco's seat was none other than Daphne Greengrass, my first official enemy I made at Hogwarts.
"Sooooo." She drug out, "Are you and Draco an item or does he just feel so bad for you he's willing to stoop that low to make you feel like you belong?"
"Daphne!" gasped Pansy on my other side.
"It's fine Pansy." I replied, "It's obvious that Daphne was just incapable of using her head to figure out for herself that Draco was just being kind to me. Unlike many others."
Her face was priceless! Daphne was sitting there with her mouth hanging open completely confused!
"Close your mouth Daphne." said Pansy, "You'll catch flies."
She just picked herself up set her mouth in a line and stormed off.
"Bye Daphne!" teased the girl across from me. "See you during Potions!"
Just then Draco strolled over. He faltered a little when he saw us, then sat down.
"Well Anna, it's about time you made a friend." he joked, "Other than me of course!"
"Yeah right." I shot back, "I've got other friends." I counted them off on my fingers, "Ibby and Blaise and Pansy." I gestured over my shoulder toward Pansy.
