A Nightmare While Awake

Seasonal Changes

The leaf blows from the tree,locking me in a trance.

So unique, a different personality.

I knew I needed more than one dance,I wanted to hold it close to me

However before i caught it, it blew away

Leaving me to keep all my silly feelings at bay.

Please don't go....

Kissed by the wind the little leaf left.

It hadn't come again, but instead something new

A snowflake, delicate made a grand theft, And there I lay slowly sinking turning blue.

But I knew for a fact what I wanted was you

Im fine.

Freezing my heart, the snowflake melted

My heart was gone, frozen like ice

I still longed for you, I felt it

I know I took a huge bet, and rolled the wrong dice.

I feel nothing....

The cherry blossom fell from the tree, holding my icy gaze

It was so similar to me, blinded by a dreary haze

So I caught and kept it for the rest of my days

Please stay....

In the blistering sun, heart melts

The little leaf returned, my first one had to be there

When i fell victim to the burning sun
