Evil or Not?

Giana pov...

I woke up with an abrupt start. That was literally the worst nightmare I've EVER had. Everything seemed all to bright, colorful, and worst of all happy. There was this girl who looked like me but had a little darker skin and wore bright yellow leggings, a sparkly pink, fluffy shirt, and a big denim jacket (#Eww). I had fallen down and couldn't get up (Which btw NEVER happens because I'm too tough) and this girl comes over and helps me to my feet. I could tell we were in the Fairy kingdom because EVERYTHING SPAKLED!!!!! Ugh!!! Glad that's over, I said as I brushed my raven black hair out of my face. I got out of bed and immediately changed out of my pajamas and into my maroon leggings and ripped jeans, black tee-shirt with a hearth and cross bones, and my favorite choker. I pulled on my maroon fingerless gloves, leather vest, black combat boots and walked into the living room. My mother, who use to be feared in these lands was out running errands, trying to be like the rest of the Eastern kingdom's citizens. I was alone with the exception of my reflection in the "magicless" mirror, I looked at my reflection and saw my raven black hair like my mother's. I added lilac and electric blue highlights so I didn't look too much like her but no matter what I did I still look like her.

I'd only heard my mother's story once, and it wasn't from her as much as it was from her diary. She was once a young lady, such as me, named Evly who was in love with a man named Mira. Long story short he was trapped in a mirror, and she spent her whole life trying to free him from the mirror, and everyone thought she was vain but truth be told she was trying to hold on to the little youth she had left so he'd recognize her. So yeah, she wasn't all that evil (except the several attempted murders on Snow white) I could do so much better. My mom is trying to convince me to be a good girl, and not go bad as she had. I cover up my true (evil) thoughts  and feelings when she's around me, but I think she can sense that I'm following her misleading footsteps. I guess she's just afraid that I'm going to mess up but I won't get a second chance like she had.

I grabbed a crisp green apple (we don't eat the red ones anymore) and took a monstrous bite out of it, and raced out the door and to my friend's house in the northern mountains in the Northern kingdom. I live in the northern part of the Eastern kingdom so it's not too incredibly far, but it's really cold. I can't believe I forgot my coat again! I'm a really fast runner so I tried my hardest to get to her cave without getting frostbite. I ran into the icy cave and out of the bitter nip of the wind. I immediately went to the large icy hole in the mountain that lead to the throne room. I hopped in and slid down the ice slide and landed gracefully at the bottom like I had done this several times (because I had, usually with a coat though!). Sitting on a large throne of what looked like glass, but was really ice crystals,  was an extremely old looking, pale, frostbitten woman with a faded red cloth rapped around her "eyes"(or where they where suppose to be) and an unproportional crown that looked like an enormous snowflake on her small pale head. She wore a large white fur coat and was surrounded by polar bears, that constantly deceived her (she doesn't know that though).

"Who dare disturb my palace !!!!!!!" The infamous Snow Queen bellowed to me. (That's a great example of the polar bears deception, we're in a  mountain, not  palace! see what I mean)

"It's just me your royal chilliness, it's Giana." I said calmly, this was my normal greeting. I bowed my lowest bow and approached the blind queen cautiously.

"She show's respect, your majesty." The polar bear to her left informed her. She nodded and turned back towards me.

"I assume your here to see my pathetic excuse for a daughter." She said in a cold voice. "Proceed!" she excused me and I ran as fast as I could (on ice) to Crystal's room. I parted the door curtains that where made of tiny icicles that looked like beads, and entered the room. No matter how many times I see it, I'm always in awe. She had a pearly white four poster canopy bed with white silk drapes and thick white comforter over pale silver snowflake sheets. There was a polar bear fur rug beside her bed, an icicle structure on the rock ceiling that looked like a chandelier. Crystal sat at a snow white vanity with a circular mirror that was frosted along the edges, applying another layer of pale pink lipstick. She had piercing ice blue eyes and was wearing sparkly blue eyeshadow and sparkly ice blue nails. She was wearing a heavy white fur coat, pale blue pants, tall periwinkle boots with white fur cuffs, an icicle choker, and her short pure white hair had silver and icy blue highlights came down to the top of her shoulders.

She observed her refection and saw me behind her through the mirror

She observed her refection and saw me behind her through the mirror. "Giana!!!" She squealed and ran over to me attacking me in an enormous hug. "Finally! Your here. Where is your coat, did you forget it again !? Ugh, I've been cooped up here to long. We should go to your house so I can change out of this blasting coat. It's made out of a polar bear, the poor thing " She said with out breathing in between sentences. she pet her coat like it was a live polar bear.

"Ok relax, I'm here now. I agree we should go to my house because I'm going to freeze here!" I exclaimed with a shiver. Crystal walked over to a wardrobe and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. I jogged over to her and helped her pull the frozen door open. It finally gave way and  we both fell to the ground and laughed. I grabbed a white coat like the one she was wearing and we departed for my house. As we ran in the direction of the Eastern kingdom we heard a bear Roar !

"What was that" I asked her curiously. When I looked over at her she was gone! I scanned my surroundings but it was nearly impossible to see with the blizzard swirling vigorously around me, the wind howling in my ears. I finally spotted her running towards me with a baby polar bear in her arms, another polar bear chasing her.

"RUN!!!!!!" She shrieked at the top of her lungs, grabbing my arm and dragging me the other direction. We reached the Eastern kingdom and the polar bear stopped chasing us. "There there." She said to the baby bear.

"What are you doing with a BABY BEAR!!!" I asked angrily  still panting from running for my life.

"It was being beat up by the bigger one, so I saved it." she said calmly in a very chill tone. I rolled my eyes and helped her to her feet. We wandered back to her house after the bigger bear was out of sight and then once again set off for my house.

"Are we suppose to be evil or not? Don't you wish we could be as evil as our parents were once?" I asked Crystal curiously. I'd been thinking about it lately a lot and wanted to know what she thought. I looked over and her face was all scrunched up like her was thinking really hard.

"Yeah, as long as it wasn't animals!" she replied with a slight nod. Of course the girl who just saved a baby polar bear didn't want to harm animals! "Why do you ask?" she asked cautiously as we entered the Eastern kingdom.

"I just feel like I'm suppose to be evil, like my mom, but do what she never could, don't you?" I prompted. She looked at my with a perplexed face.

"I... I mean, maybe? I'm not really sure though. I know I'm living with a witch, and I am a witch, so I know I'm suppose to, you know, be evil. But with the way she was banished after she failed, I... I don't know." she managed to say looking very conflicted. "Wait, I thought your mother was trying to make you not evil, or so my mother randomly said one day." said to me.

"Um, yeah. But I don't care. I know I won't fail like she did. I'll prove myself to her!" I reassured her, and secretly myself.
