Chapter 16 - Something Seems Different about her.

     Chapter 16

 

       Masky's POV

 

 

       May was hugging BEN. Though he wasn't responding he looked annoyed actually. But I still can't let her see that. I quickly turned on the opposite way and when I was sure this was far enough, I set her down. We were by the lake "Why are we here?" She asked. Thank goodness! She haven't seen that. "N-nothing! I just wanted to uhm..spend a little quality time with my friend"

 

        "Oh.. " Was all she could reply as she stared at the lake.

 

 

    She looked down. "I saw it you know.." She mumbled but I heard it clearly. I then looked at her.

 

     "What?"

 

    "I know you tried to get me away from there but I actually saw it before you did. BEN and May hugging.." She let out a shaky breath. I couldn't say anything. I don't even know what to say! So I just placed my hands on her back and patted it. "Hey can I.. Can I be like you guys?" She suddenly said. My head snapped at her. Is she thinking what I think she's thinking?! For a moment there I though I saw her eyes flashign red.

 

    "What are you talking about? Be like what?"  

 

 

    "A killer.. I want.." She closed her eyes before opening them again. And this time I'm sure her eyes turned red again before turning back into her usual emerald green ones. "I want to kill.."  a smirk formed on her lips.

 

    "M-Marielle.. Are you okay?" I asked. I wanted to ask about her eyes. They keep changing. "Hmn?" She looked at me directly in the eyes. But when I looked at her eyes it was normal and sparkling green. "N-Nothing.. Nothing.." I shook my head.

 

     "So.. are you going to agree?" She asked. "No. Absolutely not. Marielle, being a killer.. you can never go back.. You have to think about this." I held her face in my hands forcing her to look into my eyes. " Really think about this." I emphasized everyword.

 

    Her brows furrowed. "O-Okay.. Yeah. I thought about it. Can you help me.. Please?" She said as she removed my hand from her face. I sighed.. "You can't go back to your normal life Marielle.. You know that?" I said as I put my hands behind my head and rest my head on the tree behind me. " I know that.." Her voice sounded different when she said that. Maybe I'm just imagining it. I sighed.

 

     "Okay.."

    I called out Jeff, Jack and Hoody. I asked them to teach her about stuff like how to escape from the police, not to leave any prints or traces, how to be quiet so no one can notice you and the such.

 

   

      "So...you wanna be a killer?" Jack asked slugging on the couch and Marielle nodded smiling as if what she wanted to do was nothing. Jeff already agreed to train her, he didn't care though I just forced him to. "Okay! Who's in?" I asked "Me!" Hoody immediately raised his hand. "I'm in" Jeff said and we all looked at Jack. "Fine! Im in..." He said throwing his arms up in the air. Marielle's smile widened.

 

    

 

      "Tomorrow will be the start of your first day!" I said as Marielle's eyes beamed with happiness.

 

    "Great."

 

   I stared at her eyes as they quickly flashed red and she walked away.

 

    Something is up with her... I have to figure out what.
