Chapter 29

Marielle Summers' POV

I woke up to the sound of something hitting the floor. I looked around the dark room that was slightly illuminated by the moonlight trespassing through the window. I looked at BEN who was lying down beside me, sleeping peacefully and turned to the digital clock he had that were flashing the red bright numbers.

4:28 AM

'What woke me up?' I thought as I look around. I then remember hearing a loud thud outside the room. I stood up lazily and searched for the door. I twisted the knob and got outside. I needed to go to the bathroom anyway.

After I was done I washed my hands and face and went out. There was light coming out of the slightly opened bedroom door of Slenderman. I didn't mean to be nosy. But there was.. just.. this feeling like something felt... wrong? I brought my hand to the door knob to push it open but the more closer my hand went the more my heart beat fast. I quickly pulled back my hand when a cold feeling went up my arm. My breathing was unsteady and I was shaking.

'What's happening?'

"Ah.." My head started pounding. A metallic smell hit my nostrils. "What the heck?" My vision was getting blurry and I started seeing black spots.

"Wh-What's happening?" I muttered to myself as I struggled to keep awake. I finally lost my balance and I stumble upon the door. I held on the handle for support. But I was still kneeling.

I managed to keep one eye open. But it was blurry. "What..?" I look up to see a pool of blood on the floor and someone's lifeless body.. on the ground.

A pair of gleaming red orbs flashed before my eyes as I finally collapse to the ground.
